Unfortunately, people like to steal truck parts. Oftentimes the parts are in short supply and needed for crucial repairs. Thieves can easily sell them to repair shops. One Ford truck part is targeted so often that it has its own security system.

There are a few different truck parts like wheels, bumpers, and taillights that are popular for thieves to target. One Ford truck part is stolen at such a high rate that it has its own security system.

Criminals commonly go after Ford Super Duty taillights, which can be frustrating to replace.  The new taillights can cost up to $2,700 each. On top of that, supply chain disruptions can delay the repair.

You can protect your taillights and tailgate with the Omaha Bravo Designs AllGuard Kit. It costs $180 and includes three devices, including a HoodGuard, TailGuard, and LightGuard. The pieces are also available as individual parts but are cheaper together.

The guards include brackets, steel carriage bolts, washers, nuts, and polycarbonate bushings to protect vulnerable pieces. It prevents thieves from accessing screws and other parts that make the taillights and other parts easy to detach.

It makes the targeted Ford truck part harder to access and more challenging to steal. It can slow thieves down and confuse them. In the best-case scenario, the kit will cause thieves to give up.

Installing the kit should be pretty straightforward, but it does require the removal of the taillights, which sounds complicated. Omaha Bravo Designs does provide step-by-step instructions and may release installation video guides.

Some owners criticize Ford trucks for having expensive parts that are easy for thieves to quickly take in the first place.

But installing a security kit at a fraction of the cost of replacement parts is a faster solution than waiting for Ford trucks to beef up truck designs for more protection.
