1 full-size truck barely made it on the list of longest lasting cars
There’s a new list of vehicles out that shows the top 30 vehicles that are the most likely to reach 250,000 miles. Every single full-size truck that’s currently available made the list, but the Ram 1500 only got in by the skin of its teeth.
The Ram 1500 almost didn’t make it on the list of the longest-lasting vehicles
iSeeCars just released its list of the top 30 cars that are the most likely to surpass 250,000 miles in 2024. Surprisingly, every full-size ruck earned a spot, but it still proves that not all trucks are created equally.
The average vehicle has an 8.6% chance of lasting 250,000 miles or more, and the Toyota Tundra is the longest-lasting option.
It has a 36.6% chance to reach over a quarter million miles, which is 4.2 times higher than average. Then the Chevrolet Silverado landed in tenth place with an 18.8% chance. Its fancy twin, the GMC Sierra 1500 came in fifteenth place with 16.1%.
The Ford F-150 came in sixteenth place with a 15.8% chance of making it to 250,000 miles and the Nissan Titan came in eighteenth place with a 14.8% chance.
Then the Ram 1500 rounded out the list of 30 vehicles in last place with an 11.5% chance of surpassing 250,000 miles.
On one hand, it’s great that the Ram 1500 made the list so it’s not the laughing stock of the full-size truck segment. But on the other hand, are other full-size truck rivals more reliable?
According to J.D.Power, the 2024 Ram 1500 has a reliability score of 88 out of 100, which is great. Scores between 70 and 80 are average, and scores between 81 and 90 are above average is great.
J.D.Power gave the score 2024 Toyota Tundra a score of 78. Ram trucks have been getting more reliable, while the current Tundra model arrived with some serious issues.
It’s unclear how old the full-size truck models in the iSeeCars study are, but the 2025 list could look different due to how quickly the quality of trucks is changing.
