1 of the Most Complained About SUVs Is Almost $70,000 in 2023
There are a lot of SUVs on the market to choose from, especially if you are considering a used option. On a list of the most complained about SUVs in recent years, the Jeep Grand Cherokee landed at the top. While many of these issues stem from older versions of the sport utility vehicle, the newest version is almost $70,000 for the top trim level this year. Has the brand solved the most common problems to make this SUV worth that much?
What are some of the most complained about SUVs?
Car Complaints has some of the most complained about SUVs in recent years, and the Jeep Grand Cherokee is at the top of the list. Some of the worst years of the Grand Cherokee were back in 2011 and 2014, but this SUV continues to rack up the complaints. In the grand scheme of all Jeep models, the Grand Cherokee has the most problems by model by far, with more than 1,200 complaints separating it from the second most complained-about model.
Some of the biggest complaints are related to the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) going bad. This can cause a variety of issues, including the Grand Cherokee not starting up or stalling without warning. Sometimes the issue can present as a spark plug issue or a problem with the fuel pump, but neither of these will remedy the issue.
