If you need an SUV that delivers the pinnacle of towing prowess, then you can do no better than the 2022 Jeep Wagoneer and its 10,000-pound towing capacity. The similar Jeep Grand Wagoneer, which is larger than the Wagoneer, is the only SUV that comes close to the towing capabilities of the Wagoneer. It has a maximum towing capacity of 9,850 pounds.

Along with the large and sturdy frame, the towing prowess of the 2022 Jeep Wagoneer can be credited to its powerful 5.7-liter V-8 engine. Mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, it generates 392 horsepower and 404 lb-ft of torque. For the 2023 model year, the V-8 engine for this American SUV will be replaced with a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine, which produces 420 horsepower and 468 lb-ft of torque. However, the 2023 Wagoneer will still have a 10,000-pound towing capacity.
