The Camry Hybrid is a solid option starting at about $28,000, representing a $2,000 premium on the base model. The Camry Hybrid’s powertrain is a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that works with an electric motor to get 208 hp and 149 lb-ft of torque. This hybrid powertrain is paired with a CVT and gets 47 mpg combined.
On the inside, the Camry has a comfortable interior, but it’s not going to feel too upscale. Toyota equipped the Camry Hybrid with Toyota Safety Sense, a suite of smart safety features including forward-collision warning and automatic emergency braking. Toyota offers more options across various trim levels.
The LE Hybrid is the starter trim. Then there’s the SE Hybrid, which costs about $29,000. The XLE Hybrid goes for $32,000, and the XSE Hybrid starts at $33,000. These trims add more features, including leather upholstery, heated front seats, and additional smart safety features.
What the 2022 Honda Accord Hybrid is all about
The Accord Hybrid is similar to the Camry even in price. It also starts at about $28,000. In terms of powertrain, the Accord Hybrid has a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that works with two electric motors to get a combined 212 hp and 129 lb-ft of torque. It’s also paired with a CVT, and overall, the Honda gets 47 mpg combined.
On the inside, the Accord Hybrid is still similar to the Accord, and instead of Toyota Safety Suite, it has Honda Sensing, which is Honda’s suite of smart safety features. This gives the Accord access to similar safety systems that the Camry gets as standard. And just like the Camry, there are various trim levels available.
After the standard hybrid trim, there’s the Hybrid Sport, which starts at about $31,000.
