10 Country Stars Who Drive American-Made Pickup Trucks
You’ve probably heard a lot about celebrities and their fabulous car collections. Famous people like Jay Leno often own an extensive collection of vintage or luxury vehicles (or both!). However, for some celebrities, it’s all about their truck. Country music stars like the 10 listed here probably value their good old American-made trucks as much, or more than, any of the cars in their vehicle collections.
1. Brantley Gilbert’s Ford F-250
Brantley Gilbert may not look like a stereotypical country music artist, but his choice of vehicles fairly shouts country. According to HotCars, he gave his F-250 the Rocky Ridge treatment with 20″ machine-finished and black powder-coated wheels. A set of 35″ Mickey Thompson ATZ tires completed the look. His truck definitely stands out from the crowd now — kind of like its owner.
2. Toby Keith’s 2015 Ford F-350
Toby Keith’s car collection includes some cool models like a 1934 Ford Cabriolet, but his plain black Ford truck is stock. However, this powerful F-350 can handle rough terrain, haul heavy loads, and handle just about anything else its superstar owner might need it to.
3. Luke Bryan’s Chevrolet Silverado
Luke Bryan has been a brand ambassador for Chevy since 2016, so it’s no surprise that he drives a Chevy Silverado. His latest model is a replacement for the black Chevy Silverado 4×4 he totaled when he drove it into his catfish pond. Unlike many of the trucks on this list, Bryan’s is stock and lacks any customization or real personality.
4. Amber Marshall’s 2014 Dodge Ram 3500
This fairly petite (she’s 5-foot 4-inch) singer/actor handles chores on her ranch in her massive Ram 3500. It may outweigh her by several tons, but Marshall handles it like a boss.
5. Brad Paisley’s 2014 Chevrolet Signature Silverado
Grand Ole Opry member Brad Paisley worked with the Chevrolet team to design his “Signature Edition” Silverado. The truck features a slightly lowered body and a custom sound system. The custom electric blue paint job includes customized logos on each front door.
6. Jake Owen’s Ford F-250 Diesel
HotCars placed Jake Owen’s jacked-up four-door Ford F-250 Diesel at #18 on its list of 20 country singers with trucks. At least Owen’s was one of the 11 “Nice” trucks on the list. Several of the trucks on this list were on the “Not So Nice” section of the HotCars list. The blacked-out Ford diesel sits way up high atop its oversized wheels and massive tires.
7. Kid Rock’s 2017 GMC Sierra 1500
Kid Rock’s Sierra is not stock. This jacked-up GMC Sierra has fender flares and a “Stealth Coating” layer to protect the bumpers and hood. If you’re wondering what’s under that hood, it’s a Whipple supercharger that boosts the engine’s power to 557 horsepower. This distinctive truck also features custom embroidery on the headrest and “Detroit Cowboy” badging.
8. Chase Rice’s 1985 Chevrolet Silverado
His old Chevy Silverado is the first truck Chase Rice ever bought, and he has a strong emotional connection to it. Speaking of his link to the truck, this former NASCAR pit crew member told MotorTrend that “This is going to be mine until the day I die.”
9. Thomas Rhett’s Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Z71
Thomas Rhett’s black Silverado is jacked up and blacked out, but otherwise, it might belong to just about anyone. There’s nothing about it that shouts, “I belong to a country star.” Maybe he and his family like it that way?
10. Miranda Lambert’s 1955 Chevy 3100
Miranda Lambert has owned Tammy, her 1955 red Chevy 3100, since she was just 17 years old. When her Dad bought the truck for her, she found a Tammy Wynette tape inside — hence the name. Tammy (the truck) played a starring role at Lambert’s wedding to Blake Shelton in 2011 and also has a winery named after it. Needless to say, this fan of classic trucks has vowed never to part with her vintage red beauty.
If you’re still in doubt about how much country music stars love their trucks, listen to the lyrics in popular country songs and count how many mention trucks!
