When it comes to supercars, this legendary brand probably comes to mind. If you have been paying attention lately, the Lamborghini Countach has been all over the news, but you’ve probably seen a Lamborghini Urus SUV on the streets at one point.
The Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4, Centenario, and Sian are the fastest in the supercar lineup
When the Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4 was revealed at the Pebble Beach Concours last year, it was on the cover of every magazine and blog within minutes. U.S. News says the new Countach has a zero to 62 mph time of 2.8 seconds, making it the fastest Lamborghini right now. It has 803 hp and a top speed of 221 mph. Only 112 of the new Lamborghini were made and sold out almost immediately.
Also coming in at 2.8 seconds for the zero to 62 mph time, the Sian has an incredible 819 hp. It tops out at 217 mph, and Lamborghini only made 19 of the roadster variety. 63 Sian coupes were made, and all 82 sold out almost immediately. In case that wasn’t enough, the Sian had both a V12 engine and a 48-volt electric motor.
The Lamborghini Centenario was initially a concept car that was cool enough to come to fruition. This version pays homage to the year 1963 when the brand was founded. The Centenario was launched in 2016 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Ferruccio Lamborghini’s birth. It offers the same 2.8 second time with 770 hp from the V12.
Top speeds of 202 mph are no big deal in the Lamborghini Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae, Aventador SVJ, Huracan Performante
Lamborghini says that the Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae will last gasoline-powered V12 engines. Only 350 coupes and 250 convertibles were offered with the 769 hp 6.5L engine. The Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae also had all-wheel drive, four-wheel-steering, and a top speed of 202 mph.
The Lamborghini Aventador SVJ was offered in both a coupe and roadster model. For the zero to 62 mph time, 2.8 seconds is the magic number. The SVJ managed to go 217 mph and was supposed to be a performance version of the Aventador S. To make it even more limited, Lamborghini restricted the Aventador SVJ 63 to 63 units. The “SV” stands for “Superveloce” or “super fast” in Italian. The “J” stands for “Jota” to signify its track-readiness.
Losing one-tenth of a second from the other times, the Huracan Performante has a zero to 62 mph time of 2.9 seconds. With a top speed of 202 mph and a super light-weight body thanks to the aluminum and carbon fiber frame, this Lamborghini is one of the fastest on the road.
Don’t overlook the Huracan EVO, Huracan STO, and Urus SUV
The Lamborghini Huracan EVO AWD and RWD are both on this list. The AWD version has a 5.2L V12 and a zero to 62 mph time of 2.9 seconds. For the RWD, the zero to 62 mph time falls to 3.3 seconds, which is still ridiculously fast. It has a top speed of 202 mph.
The Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo Omologata or STO can sprint to 62 mph in 3.0 seconds flat. It is basically a street-legal supercar racecar that you can get for a measly $331,000. The STO has 640 hp and a top speed of 193 mph.
Last but not least is the Lamborghini Urus SUV. The Urus still has a respectable zero to 60 mph time of 3.5 seconds and a base price of $225,000. It has a top speed of 189 mph and 650 hp, which is nothing to laugh at. So unless you are coming upon other Ferraris, Porsches, and other supercars on the regular, you can bet the Lamborghini is going to impress.
