Our friends at Motor1 first discovered this 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan conversion camper van listed for sale on the Facebook marketplace. The Facebook ad says it “drives and looks like a new vehicle” because the owner “spent a great deal of time and resources planning this build.” 

Is it worth converting a van to a camper? 

Conversion campers don’t have to be complicated or expensive. The key with camper conversions like this Dodge Grand Caravan is that a little creativity can elbow grease can go a long way. For instance, the builder of this one used high-quality Baltic Birch to build the structural elements for the inside of the camper. Instead of getting too fancy, he used commercial-grade vinyl tiles for the flooring. This material is easy to install and lasts a long time. 

Given the size of the camper and the lack of a real kitchen or bathroom, it is probably only good for shorter trips. Although, there is a pull-out sink and gas burner. As for the Dodge Grand Caravan conversion camper van for sale, the van itself is said to be in fantastic shape. It looks to be a very clean example with only 73,000 miles from new. The owner says it has a fully working AC system for the front seats and, judging by the available photos, everything looks to be in factory form. Meanwhile, everything in the camper area is said to be brand new.

It is not uncommon to see some converted camper vans go for big money. However, this is not one of them. Not only is this camper van easy to drive because it’s still a minivan, but it also is affordable.
