Acura Takes the Stage with this Year’s NSX
The year is 2020 and the major car brands are bringing back some of their most iconic and beloved models, and enthusiasts everywhere are ecstatic.
The 2020 Acura NSX takes the stage to offer one of the manufacturer’s finest luxury sports car, and it’s better than we could have ever imagined.
If you’re not very familiar with the NSX, popping the hood may surprise you – there’s not motor there. That’s right, the 2020 Acura NSX, like every other generation, is mid-engine. Inside the engine bay, you will find a 573-hp 3.5-liter V6 motor with twin turbos, making this 3,878lb car put down the power and handle like a dream.
The 2020 Acura NSX can be yours for a starting price of $157,500.
Exterior Design
While the newest design for the NSX hardly resembles the original, we aren’t upset. In fact, the aggressive and sleek styling of the new NSX is everything we could have dreamed of and more.
The 2020 NSX is simplistic and elegant. The front grille is aggressive and aerodynamic, and the clean lines follow throughout the rest of the car. While a lot of the styling is newer for Acura, they allowed the NSX to set the stage and establish a new style that is uniquely Acura.
A carbon-fiber exterior package enhances the car’s aesthetic appeal. The addition of carbon fiber begins at the car’s front with a simple carbon fiber front spoiler and traces down the side of the car with carbon fiber side sills, and finishes with a carbon fiber diffuser and matching exhaust finisher.
Inside
Opening the door of the NSX, there is no doubt that the interior styling was just as much of a priority as the exterior design. The leather and Alcantara wrapped seats and dash are both clean and elegant. The dashboard and center console drive the line of modern and modest, leaving nothing more to be desired without being overwhelmingly lush.
A thin center console swoops down from a stylish dashboard that is modern and yet no more intricate than needed and follows down between the driver and passenger seats.
The Verdict
Acura claims the 2020 NSX offers the luxury and convenience any supercar owner could want to make this their daily driver. A beautiful example of a modern-day midengine car, with the updates to the styling, aerodynamics and interior design have left us drooling over the new NSX, and while we may not be inclined to see one sitting in our own driveway, we are still excited to see them hit the roads.
