There is almost no better feeling than getting behind the wheel of your new car and feeling completely satisfied with your purchase. All too often, people purchase a vehicle that leaves them feeling completely annoyed and dissatisfied, yet they have to continue driving it for years because of the hefty investment they just made. Fortunately, one popular car reviewing website just released a list of the Most Satisfying New Midsized SUVs that outlines which vehicles customers feel genuinely happy to have purchased, including the Audi e-tron. An overview of the Audi e-tron

The Audi e-tron has been around since 2019, offering a desirable match in the world of SUVs – a luxurious look and feel with an all-electric engine. The 2021 e-tron is not only beautiful and stunning to look at on the outside, but its interior is quiet and roomy and comes with a completely unique and innovative design. 

The 2021 Audi e-tron comfortably sits five passengers, and it features a surprisingly intuitive dual-screen infotainment system. The top 10.6-inch touchscreen focuses on standard infotainment features, such as navigation, Amazon Alexa, HD radio, and more. The bottom screen focuses on climate control and other basic vehicle settings. 

Many were surprised to find that the Audi e-tron is spectacularly fun to drive. It has a punchy, yet smooth acceleration, excellent handling, and commendable engine at its disposal. The e-tron comes equipped with a 95-kWh lithium-ion battery pack along with two electric motors, one delivering power to the front wheels, one to the back. This system delivers about 355 hp but can get all the way up to 402 hp for short bursts. 

Unfortunately, the range of the Audi e-tron remains unimpressive, getting about 222 miles per charge according to U.S. News. 

Consumer Reports’ list of Most Satisfying New Midsized SUVs

Earlier this month, Consumer Reports released a list of the top vehicles owners are happy with based on their satisfaction scores. How are these scores calculated? Every year, Consumer Reports sends out thousands of surveys to members asking them a very simple question: would you get this car if you had to do it all over again? 

Consumer Reports has its own parameters for creating their recommendations list, which takes an in-depth look at the safety ratings, performance, and the quality of the interior and exterior. This list, however, is based solely on the aggregate of their annual survey results.

As a result, there are a few vehicles on the list that CR itself ranks as poor, but consumers continue to assert that they are happy with their purchase. One such vehicle is the 2021 Jeep Wrangler, which scored just a 29 on CR’s rankings, but still ranks higher than other vehicles in terms of owner satisfaction. The Audi e-tron ranks decently enough, but it definitely leaves an impression on owners.

The Audi e-tron’s ranking on CR’s list

Despite receiving an overall mediocre score of 54 from Consumer Reports, largely thanks to a low predicted reliability rating, the 2021 Audi e-tron ranked fourth on their list of Most Satisfying New Midsized SUVs. It likely ranked high on the list because of its incredible handling and performance, as well as the quiet interior and comfortable seating. 

The 2021 e-tron ranked below the 2021 Subaru Outback, 2021 BMW X5, and 2021 Lexus RX. The e-tron is actually the highest-ranking two-row SUV to not get a CR recommendation.

The 2021 Subaru Outback predictably got a top score from CR as did the 2021 BMI X5. Both vehicles are consistently ranked highly on critic reviews, and both come with an enormous list of safety features that are sure to satisfy individuals and those with young families. 

Although the Audi e-tron may not be recommended by CR due to its low predicted reliability, consumers are still highly satisfied with their purchase, meaning you might be too if you decide to make the investment.
