With a super-sized price tag, these rare colors could become coveted collector’s items. The brand is known for vibrant hues with significant names, and the Color Edition R8 does not disappoint.

Green lovers get two hues to choose from

Audi currently offers 4 models of production racing vehicles. The manufacturer says the R8 is the most powerful of them all. Its naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 engine delivers 640 hp. The 2021 R8 LMS GT2 goes from zero to 60 in less than 4 seconds and hits a top speed of 170 mph.

The mossy Tactical Green paint made for the Audi R8 LMS GT2 Color Edition is the perfect luxury buy for lovers of earth tones. The color edition features copper wheels. This particular shade complements the unusual wheel shade perfectly.

Kyalami Green is a bright flash of electric lime. Juxtaposed with the car’s black accents, this color comes to life. Kyalami Green is for the driver that wants to stand out and doesn’t mind the attention. The color takes its name from the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit located in Midrand, Gauteng province, South Africa.

Classic black and red look dangerous

Nothing creates more hype than scarcity. Exotic car lovers are already prone to spending a little more on something truly unique. This makes the 2021 Audi R8 LMS GT2 Color Edition even more appealing to potential buyers. The collection offers two classic sports car shades that suit any taste.

Red has been a classic choice for sports cars since the first performance vehicle hit the road. Misano Red is the ultimate name for this fast shade. This color references the Misano World Circuit in Misano Adriatico, Province of Rimini, Emilia-Romagna, Italy.

It’s nearly impossible to go wrong with basic black. The color screams elegance and sophistication. Sebring Black is another racing-inspired color name from Audi. The Sebring International Raceway in Florida is host to some of the most popular endurance races in motorsports.

Bright and playful options round out the collection

The Color Edition series is identical to the basic 2021 R8 LMS GT2 in every way but its outward appearance and its price tag. The custom color set comes with a $13,000 markup for its bespoke paint job. For a total of $422,000, drivers can own a truly unique vehicle.

The current Las Vegas Motor Speedway circuit was built in 1996. The piece of land it sits on has a long history in the drag racing community. It housed the Stardust International Raceway before the current track was built. Vegas Yellow honors the significance of the local scene with a pop of color as bright as the strip itself.

The racing circuit in Nogaro, France, was loosely inspired by the Sebring racing circuit. Nogaro Blue is an eye-catching homage to this historically significant and, at one time, controversial track. Local legend has it that the circuit’s builder did not have approval from the local government to build the track. Allegedly he waited until the mayor was out of town.
