I have a bit of a thing for fast Audi cars. There’s a replica of the brand’s famous Group B rally car on my desk, and the Audi RS2 Avant is a personal favorite of mine. Obviously, other people like the Audi flavor of luxury car too. There’s few better ways to cover ground with all your stuff than a fast Audi like the 2021 Audi RS7, which is part of the model’s popularity and appeal.

Some could argue that the 2021 Audi RS7 is the pinnacle of fast Audi. It’s basically the sedan version of the ultra-cool RS6 Avant (Ingolstadt-speak for wagon), and it’s nearly as practical.

How fast is the 2021 Audi RS7?

Let’s get the specs out of the way now. The price? High. You’ll shell out around $120,000 for a 2021 Audi RS7. The horsepower? Obviously, for that money, it’s equally high. 591 hp and 591 lb-ft is stupid fast. It’s “oh wow I didn’t know I was going so fast officer” fast. Oh, and 0-60 is over and done with in 3.0 seconds flat, per Car and Driver. But fast is obvious. The 2021 Audi RS7 has other merits.

For example, the interior is just about the nicest interior of any Audi, including the phenomenal R8. As it should be for a six-figure sticker price. Seriously, Audi has some of the best interiors in the business, short of an insane Rolls Royce interior or something equally exotic. Moreover, their Audi Virtual Cockpit (stop being immature) is the gold standard for in-car tech, and I’m including Tesla in that statement.

The RS7 is a whole different machine

If all that isn’t enough to convince your nearest millionaire to buy a 2021 Audi RS7, maybe the looks are. Just look how different the RS7 is from your run-of-the-mill Audi A7. Which, by the way, is a great luxury car in its own right. Wider fenders and bigger wheels are just a start. You’ll also be getting much larger, albeit optional, carbon-ceramic brakes.

In short, the RS7 is a continuation of the RS brand and everything it stands for. “Everything it stands for” meaning fast as hell, mean as hell, and fun as hell. Unfortunately, there isn’t a manual transmission, but this is more of a GT car than it is a track monster, especially with comfortable seating for 5 and a large boot to, well, boot.

Audi makes the best “everything luxury car” in the business

If you have the coin, as so few people do, it’d be real hard to say no to an RS7. You’ve got big power, Audi Quattro AWD, and a host of other features that place the RS7 in practically a class of its own. Should you want more, there’s the RS6 Avant, which is basically an RS7 with a longer roof. No matter your flavor of big Audi RS model, know that you just can’t get wrong. You’ll probably have to call your bank for a big fat loan first though.
