The 2021 Ford Bronco has been a hot topic all season. This week, the first new Ford Bronco went up for auction and brought in a huge amount for charity! Ford has established the Bronco Wild Fund to help reconnect people with the outdoors, and the sale of this SUV will help do just that.

Lot #3008 at the Scottsdale, Arizona, Barret-Jackson car show was quite a standout listing. The 2021 Ford Bronco VIN #1 2-door sold for an astonishing $1,075,000.00 this weekend. Of course, all of that goes to charity.

This particular SUV came in the new lightning blue color on the outside with navy pier interior details. The lightning blue color is only available on First Edition Broncos. With a 2.7L six-cylinder automatic engine, this was an easy SUV to fall in love with!

The First Edition was fully loaded and came with 35-inch tires. It also has seven different modes for off-roading and adventures. 310 hp and 400 ft lbs of torque make the 10-speed auto transmission fast and hefty enough for whatever you throw at it.

It also comes equipped with the 2-speed Advanced 4×4 mode with an independent front suspension system. Trail turn assist, electronic stabilizer bar disconnect, and front and rear locking differentials make this the perfect off-roading vehicle.

The Ford Bronco Wild Fund

The Bronco sold to benefit both the National Forest Foundation and Outward Bound, which are both part of Ford’s new Bronco Wild Fund. The Bronco Wild Fund. This mission has been created to connect people and the community with the outdoors more.

It was inspired by the new Ford Bronco SUV and getting people outdoors. “Inspired by the epic return of the legendary Ford Bronco SUV, we want to encourage people to go deeper into the outdoors. And motivate them to actively protect and enhance our public lands,” Ford said.

The National Forest Foundation is focusing on conversation and promotes responsible recreation in local parks. The current mission aims to plant 50 million trees.

Outward Bound helps get people into local forests and other ecosystems to connect more with the outdoors. Backpacking, climbing, rafting, canoeing, sailing, and even dogsledding are included in the program.

When can I buy a Ford Bronco?

Well, the first deliveries of the Ford Bronco were expected in June. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore. According to Automotive News, some of the ordered Broncos with the fancy hardtop roof has been delayed.

Webasto, the supplier of said roof, has been having supply chain issues as many companies have during the pandemic. In response to the delay, Ford offered buyers FordPass reward points, off-roading school vouchers, and other accessories.

It seems that the modular painted hard roof and the dual roof models would both be delayed until 2022. If you happened to order the impacted version, you have until the first week of April to modify your order.

Ford does have plans to invest in the Michigan assembly plant to keep up with orders. It isn’t clear when that production will pick up the pace, but hopefully, the affected SUVs will start delivering early next year.
