2021 Jeep Wrangler Fans Rejoice Over Flashy New Colors After Losing Some Favorite Hues
Mopar vehicles have always been about some wild colors, but Jeep hasn’t really been on that train as much. Jeep has typically stuck to the earthier tones like brown, green, white, and sometimes gold. In the 90s, the Wranglers more commonly came in bright yellows, reds, oranges, purples, and all sorts of tacky roller blading shades. Jeep recently axed a few colors from the 2021 Jeep Wrangler line, but Jeep replaced them with some truly outrageous Mopar-y colors before anyone could get too upset.
The 2021 Jeep Wrangler is getting new colors
Although the 392 V8 is coming, the Jeep still won’t have insane horsepower like the Ram TRX, but it will be able to look like it. Wranglers can now be finished in “Hyrdo Blue,” one of a handful of vibrant new colors.
According to MotorTrend, other new Jeep Wrangler colors include a little shade of blue called “Chief Blue.” There has been an awful lot of paint swapping over the last year. Many were bummed when Jeep removed the “Punk’n Metallic” orange but worry not, Jeep also just announced a new, slightly different, “Nacho” orange. Maybe the most fun color (name, at least) is “Snazzberry,” a kind of deep cherry red, almost wine color.
Jeep also took away some crowd-favorite colors
These new colors are fun and vibrant. A welcomed addition to the Jeep Wrangler options list, but Jeep did kill a few hues to make room for these new ones. Jeep nixed Bikini, Punk’n Metallic, and Mojito. These were not our favorites, but many folks really dug some of these wacky colors.
Most of the colors we have come to know, and love are still around; Sarge Green, Bright White, Hellayella (yellow), Firecracker Red, Billet Silver, Sting-Gray, Granite Crystal (dark gray), and Black. The bummer of it all is like last year, all of these colors, save for Bright White, come as a $245 upcharge.
How many colors does the 2021 Jeep Wrangler come in?
The Wrangler comes in 12 color options: Bright White, Black, Granite Crystal Metallic, Sting-Gray, Billet Silver Metallic, Hydro Blue Pearl, Chief, Snazzberry Pearl, Firecracker Red Nacho, Hellayella, and the Jeepiest of them all, Sarge Green.
Like always, Jeep remains the Lego truck. There are plenty of customization options like different roofs, some cloth, and some composite. With any of the hardtops, you can choose to have a paint-matched roof, sliding cloth window, or multi-panel sections.
As MotorTrend notes, the new V8 Wrangler has not mentioned color options yet. We have seen what looks like Hydro Blue and maybe Sting-Gray. Jeep may very well offer new colors for this hot-rod model for all we know.
Uh oh, here comes the Ford Bronco
Jeep has been doing a lot of flashy stuff lately, and I think it’s clear to see that the King of off-road is a litter nervous that there may be a usurper to the throne. The Bronco has created so much buzz that Jeep seems afraid that the same ol’ Jeeps may blend in and get overlooked by Bronco buyers.
This is a fair fear. I love Jeep. Always have, but the new Bronco is very exciting and has some flashy appeal, the least among these things being flashy colors. Jeep is trying to stay hip and modern. Hopefully, these news colors can attract some new buyers. Now, who wants Nacho?
