It comes standard with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. The compact SUV includes keyless open, keyless start, a tire pressure monitoring system, and Wi-Fi hotspot capability.
The Equinox comes with several standard safety features including forward collision alert, front pedestrian braking, and lane-keep assist with lane departure warning. It is a great well-rounded compact SUV model.
The 2021 Mazda CX-5 is one of the best compact SUVs on the market
The 2021 Mazda CX-5 starts at $25,370. It uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine to produce 187 horsepower. The compact SUV achieves 25 miles per gallon in the city and 31 miles per gallon on the highway.
It comes with a 10.25-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The compact SUV also includes a 4.6-inch Multi-Information Display. It features an ambient temperature and clock display as well.
The CX-5 comes with a leather-wrapped steering wheel, leather-wrapped gear selector, and 12-volt power outlets. It also features blind-spot monitoring, advanced smart city brake support with pedestrian detection, and Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Stop and Go.

The new Chevy Equinox isn’t better than the CX-5 by a long shot. The 2022 Hyundai Tucson, 2022 Honda CR-V, and 2021 Mazda CX-5 are all better compact SUV options than the 2022 Chevy Equinox. Chevrolet has made great strides in the compact SUV segment, but it still has not broken into the top three best vehicles. Will the Equinox ever earn a place among the greats?
