The 2022 Ford Expedition Timberline Already Went up in Price
The 2022 Ford Expedition Timberline isn’t even here yet, but it’s already increasing in price. It’s following in the Jeep Grand Wagoneer’s tracks. But is the Ford Expedition Timberline a luxury off-roader, and when can people buy one?
The 2022 Ford Expedition Timberline gained a price increase
According to Ford Authority, the 2022 Ford Expedition Timberline is already going up in price. It’s not even available on the Ford retail configurator yet! The Timberline seems to be taking cues from Jeep by raising the price of a vehicle before it’s put on sale.
Reportedly, the Expedition Timberline was slated to start at about $66,690. Adding the mandatory $1,695 delivery fees brings the total up to $68,385. Now the Expedition Timberline will begin at around $68,150. Adding the destination and delivery fees increases the price to $69,845.
Meanwhile, the Expedition Limited has a lower price of around $66,780 without the destination fee. So, if you don’t need as much off-roading equipment, you can save with luxury amenities.
What comes with the Expedition Timberline?
Opting for the 2022 Ford Expedition Timberline provides you with Ford F-150 DNA. The Expedition Timberline rides on a fully boxed high-strength steel frame. It uses the Raptor’s steel underbody skidplates and the unique front skid plate.
It doesn’t have a lifted suspension but has a 10.6-inch ground clearance. Plus, it has a wider track, off-road-tuned steering, enhanced springs, and sway bars to improve control and articulation. The Ford Expedition Timberline has a 28.5-degree approach angle and a 23.7-degree departure angle.
Also, the Timberline includes an electronic locking rear differential and seven selectable drive modes. It incorporates the Trail Turn Assist feature from the Bronco. Trail Turn Assist uses the vehicle’s brake-traction control system to slow the inner rear tire, allowing the SUV to pivot around it for tighter turns.
The Ford Expedition Timberline sits on 33-inch 265/70R18 Goodyear all-terrain tires. They’re mounted on 18-inch black aluminum wheels with a laser-engraved Timberline logo. Active orange accents on the exterior and interior, tow hooks, and an optional Yakima roof basket on top add to its capable look.
It’s powered by the Ford 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine with 440 hp and 510 lb-ft of torque. It’s paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and a two-speed transfer case with low-range and auto high-range settings. It’s expected to be able to tow about 9,200 lbs.

The 2022 Ford Expedition Timberline includes a unique interior shade of Deep Cyprus Green. Red accent stitching helps the forest color pop. Also, the Timberline logo is included on the seats.
You can access the massive 15.5-inch center touchscreen that was first introduced in the Ford Mustang Mach-E. It’s powered by the Ford Snyc 4A system. Plus, the optional Bang & Olufsen Unleashed audio system includes 22 speakers.
