When will the 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 be released?

The 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 offers eight trims: Pro, SLE, Elevation, SLT, AT4, AT4X, Denali, and Denali Ultimate. The starting price/cost for the 2022 Sierra 1500 ranges from $32,495 for the base Pro trim up to $80,395 for the Denali Ultimate trim. What’s new for the 2022 Sierra 1500?
While not a full redesign, the 2022 Sierra 1500 has some styling tweaks that enhance its appearance. This includes a new grille, bumper, and headlights. Also, when starting the Sierra 1500 or when approaching or walking away from it, the truck activates expressive lighting animation. Additionally, the 2022 Sierra 1500 offers three new exterior color options: Desert Sand Metallic, Dynamic Blue Metallic, and Titanium Rush Metallic.
The interior of the 2022 Sierra 1500 is the area of the truck that has the most changes. Considering that the cab of the 2021 Sierra 1500 was one of its weakest areas, the changes are overdue.
The off-road oriented AT4X and the Denali Ultimate trims are all-new for the 2022 model year of the GMC Sierra 1500.

New Sierra 1500 AT4X and Denali Ultimate trims
The most exciting news about the 2022 Sierra 1500 is the addition of two new trims: AT4X and Denali Ultimate. The Sierra 1500 AT4X is geared toward wilderness excursions with its off-road features and enhancements. This includes Multimatic DSSV spool-valve dampers, a two-speed transfer case, an off-road-tuned chassis and suspension, and front and rear e-locking differentials. Also, the Sierra 1500 AT4X has selectable drive modes for different terrain conditions.
On the other hand, the Denali Ultimate trim raises the bar for the luxury of the Sierra 1500. Unique exterior design elements for the Denali Ultimate model include a Vader chrome grille, a Vader chrome GMC logo, 22-inch wheels, and Mount Denali front fender trim. Inside the cab, the Denali Ultimate offers a luxurious oasis. Additionally, interior features include open-pore Paldao wood trim, full-grain leather, a 12-speaker Bose Premium series sound system, and 16-way power-adjustable massaging front seats.
The release date of the 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 is the first quarter of 2022, with a starting price of $32,495. With its refreshed styling, upgraded interior, new technologies, and new AT4X and Denali Ultimate trims, the new Sierra 1500 is more competitive against other pickup trucks like the Ford F-150 and Ram 1500.
