For the 2022 model year, the Infiniti SUV lineup is getting all kinds of updates. We already knew about the massive QX80 and its redesigned features, but what’s new for the smaller QX60 and QX50? The QX50 was redesigned just a few years ago so only small updates are coming to it. However, the three-row QX60 is getting a complete redesign for 2022, which has not happened since it changed its name from the JX35 in 2013. Here’s everything new coming to the 2022 Infiniti QX60 and QX50 luxury SUVs this model year.

The QX50 now has adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, and blind-spot monitoring as standard equipment for all trim levels. Wireless Apple CarPlay is now a standard feature across the board. An appearance package is available to the QX50 to change the chrome exterior details to a darker finish. Great cargo capacity, safety, and convenience technology, and more make the QX50 a reasonably priced crossover. Interior details are beginning to look outdated, which is a change the QX60 and QX80 both received for 2022. Could the QX50 receive a redesigned interior or at least infotainment updates for 2023?

The three-row SUV from Nissan’s luxury brand is fully redesigned for the 2022 model year. It received a wider third row which allows seven or eight passengers to sit more comfortably. The identical 3.5-liter V6 engine remains, but a nine-speed automatic transmission is new in 2022. Infiniti’s most popular vehicle has improved in the areas buyers wanted. The vehicle became popular thanks to its spacious interior, attractive exterior, and many luxurious features. This family-friendly SUV only gets better for the 2022 model year, and it did need a refresh after 10 years.

The QX60 now has easy-fold second-row seats, a wider third row, and air vents and USB ports for all rows. Cargo space is increased, and an underfloor storage area is included. A panoramic sunroof and three-zone automatic climate control are also standard features in the 2022 QX60. The interior has gained new materials making it look as sleek and stylish as we hope it drives. The changes to the infotainment and materials are very similar to that of the QX80, its much larger Infiniti sibling. The Infiniti QX60 also receives a price hike for 2022, which starts at $46,850. That’s just more than a $2,000 increase from the 2020 Infiniti QX60, which started at $44,350. The 2021 model year skipped the QX60 completely presumably to work on the newly redesigned model for 2022.

As of 2021, the all-new QX55 crossover is a part of the Infiniti lineup. After killing the QX30 just a few years ago, this crossover takes its spot and looks sleek and stylish. It didn’t receive any changes for the 2022 model year.

Redesigned for 2022, the QX80 is the other Infiniti SUV option. The body equivalent of the Nissan Armada, this redesigned large SUV looks great for 2022. It gained a 12.3-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as its standard. It also has a wireless smartphone charger, which everyone needs nowadays.

The redesigned 2022 Infiniti QX60 looks great, and it was in need of a good refresh. MotorTrend first gave us the new features and updated appearance, which make it a great option for a three-row SUV. The QX50 was redesigned only a few years ago, so the few updates it received are welcome. We would not be surprised if the infotainment system got the overhaul the other models did for 2023. That’s what’s new with the 2022 Infiniti QX60 and QX50.
