But you also need to provide proper care and maintenance. Plus, this is a robust vehicle for adventuring, and it’s well-equipped to take a beating. Off-roading could weaken its life expectancy. 

However, this isn’t hurting the Gladiator. It still has strong sales, is winning tons of awards, and has an excellent resale value. 

What is the Gladiator’s resale value? 

The 2022 Jeep Gladiator is expected to maintain a 56.1 percent resale value after five years of ownership, which is excellent. It’s on the list of the top 10 trucks with the best resale value and landed in tenth place. 

Being last on the list is better than not making the list at all. Also, the 2022 Toyota Tundra has the best resale value, with 70.2 percent. The Nissan Titan, Nissan Frontier, Chevy Silverado, and Chevy Colorado each didn’t make it in the top 10. 

The GLadiator is expected to depreciate by about 22 percent over five years. It could maintain a resale value of $41,446 if it was purchased for $53,320 when new. Also, this figure assumes that the Gladiator is kept in nice condition, with an average of 12,000 miles accrued annually. 

But why is the resale value so high if the reliability ranking is so low? Well, Jeep has a reputation for producing durable vehicles with an exceptional performance across all terrains and for off-roading. 

Also, production could be limited due to supply chain shortages. The demand for the Gladiator is high, and Jeep might not be cranking them out fast enough. 

Is the Jeep Gladiator worth buying? 

Yes, the 2022 Jeep Gladiator is an excellent truck to consider, especially if you’re looking to get off the pavement. It’s extremely capable, like the Wrangler, only with the extra practicality of a truck. 

It’s the only truck convertible still offers a diesel engine, has a stout towing capacity of up to 7,700 lbs, and unmatched off-roading capabilities. 

A few drawbacks to consider include its rough ride on the pavement, loud interior, and weak fuel economy. But at least it will hold its value!
