Don’t miss out on the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee
The 2022 Grand Cherokee has finally emerged a few months after the Grand Cherokee L’s debut. Both SUVs share the same platform and initial styling. However, the two-row model has a 4xe version, and the three-row model has an extra row.
Plus, you can get a new Grand Cherokee soon. The gas-only models will be available in the fourth quarter of 2021. The Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe isn’t far behind and should arrive in early 2022.
1. Grand Cherokee has a better shape
The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee has a better design. It has a lower and more aerodynamic tapered rood, lower beltline, and more glass. This improves visibility and allows more light to enter the cabin.
Plus, the lower roofline, active grille shutters, air curtains, front-wheel spats, and spoilers should improve on-road performance and fuel efficiency. The Grand Cherokee is also 1.4-inches wider to improve the ride and handling. Plus, there is a 4.1 cubic feet of passenger space and an additional 1.4 cubic feet of cargo space.
2. Enjoy more tech
The 7-inch standard infotainment system has been replaced by an 8.4-inch unit in the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It can be upgraded to a 10.1-inch screen. The system includes Uconnect 5, which is faster and more intuitive than the previous system.
Check out the optional 10.25-inch screen with co-pilot assistance, navigation, and camera views. The 10.1-inch rear-seat infotainment display includes Amazon Fire TV. Plus, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard.
We’re excited about the 10-inch color head-up display. You can also opt for a night vision camera with pedestrian and animal detection, intersection collision assist, parallel and perpendicular parking assist, and a 360-degree camera.
Standard safety features include adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, full-speed collision warning with active braking, and pedestrian and cyclist detection. You get advanced brake assist and lane departure warning with lane-keeping assistance too.
3. The new Cherokee is ready for off-roading
The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk received incredible off-roading enhancements. It includes a new sway bar disconnect and a front-wheel disconnect that disengages 4WD when it’s not needed.
Its ground clearance has been increased to 11.3 inches, and the Quadra-Lift air suspension includes electronic damping. The new Cherokee can Ford water up to 24 inches deep and benefits from improves approach, break-over, and departure angles.
You can choose between the Quadra-Tech I, Quadra-Tech II, and Quadra-Drive II four-wheel drive systems. The Selec-Terrain system includes drivings modes for Auto, Sport, Rock, Snow, and Mud/Sand.
Pricing for the 2022 model hasn’t been revealed. But with all the upgrades, it is expected to increase from the outgoing base model’s MSRP of $33,885. We will keep you updated as we learn more.
