According to The Car Connection, the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee has reclaimed its throne as the Best SUV to Buy in 2022. It was dethroned in 2021 by the Genesis GV80, which is a worthy rival.
But in 2022, the Jeep Grand Cherokee returned stronger than ever with more space, safety features, luxury, and a new plug-in hybrid model known as the Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe. You even get a third row with the Jeep Grand Cherokee L.
How much power does the Jeep Grand Cherokee have?
The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee comes with a standard 3.6-liter V6 engine that pumps out 290 hp and 257 lb-ft of torque. You can upgrade to the 5.7-liter V8 engine for 357 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque.
But keep in mind that the gas-powered models only get an EPA-estimated 19 mpg in the city and up to 26 mpg on the highway.

Each model comes with standard rear-wheel drive, but 4×4 is available. The Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk adds an adjustable air suspension, electronic rear limited-slip differential, Goodyear Wrangler Territory all-terrain tires, and more for serious off-roading.
