Yet it’s already been recalled three times, and all three of those recalls are for some pretty serious safety concerns. The 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer recalls include the backup camera

The most recent of the 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer’s recalls is the Back Over Prevention recall. This deals with the backup camera. According to Consumer Reports, the 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer’s radio software may not allow the backup camera to display a rearview image. “As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, ‘Rear Visibility.'”This recall also involves some Wagoneers.

If your Grand Wagoneer is impacted, a dealer will reprogram the radio software for free. The Jeep Grand Wagoneer’s seats have also been recalled

The second-most-recent 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer recall involves the seats. “The second-row center-seat recliner pull strap may bind on the seat trim surface, preventing the seat back from locking into the upright position. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 207, ‘Seating Systems.'” Basically, the second-row seats don’t lock. This could be a huge problem in event of a car accident. This also impacts some Wagoneers.

Letters were mailed to owners of the affected 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneers on December 23, 2021. You should still double-check to make sure that your SUV isn’t affected, as it’s not uncommon for people to miss these letters. The Grand Wagoneer’s recalls involve air bags

The third 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer recall involves the SUV’s air bags. “The Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC) may have incorrect software which can disable the driver, passenger, and knee air bags without warning.” This means that in an accident, the air bags may not deploy. This could be a dangerous and even deadly problem. The recall also impacts some Jeep Grand Cherokees and Jeep Wagoneers and could involve up to almost 100,000 vehicles.

Stellantis, Jeep’s parent company, sent owner letters on December 2, 2021, but you should still check to see if your SUV is impacted.
