While everything great about the new Jeep Grand Wagoneer propels it past nearly every luxury SUV in U.S. News’ list of the best SUVs, it isn’t quite enough to push it to the top. What keeps the 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer from reaching the coveted number one spot?

U.S. News puts the 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer at number two on its list of the top luxury large SUVs. That super special number one spot goes to the also really nice 2021 Lincoln Navigator. The 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer is number two “thanks to its impressive all-around quality.” U.S. News touts the 2022 Grand Wagoneer’s nice interior, calling it “swanky, comfortable, spacious, and easy to drive.”
The 2022 Grand Wagoneer is also number two in the luxury SUVs with 3 rows categories. The Grand Wagoneer takes the three-row SUV to a whole new level, and it does so with a nostalgic luxury that separates it from other SUVs in this category. However, it isn’t quite enough to make it number one, as the 2021 Lincoln Navigator just does things better.

The 2021 Lincoln Navigator is number one in both the luxury large SUV category and the luxury SUVs with 3 Rows category. That’s in part thanks to its three spacious rows which are roomy enough for adults. U.S. News calls it “posh and powerful” and loves that it’s even bigger than other three-row SUVs in these categories.
The 2021 Lincoln Navigator is a little bit cheaper than the Grand Wagoneer, ranging in price from $76,705 to $101,855. It has a 3.5-liter V6 engine that makes 450 hp and 510 lb-ft of torque.
How much is the Grand Wagoneer?
The 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer price starts at $86,995. The 2022 Grand Wagoneer base model is the Series I, and that starts at $88,995.
