The 2022 Ram 1500 Built to Serve Firefighter Edition emulates the Big Horn trim, offering the same interior tech and powertrain options. According to Ram, the standard engine is a 3.6-liter V6 producing 305 hp and 269 lb-ft of torque.

A 260-hp diesel V6 is optional, as is a 395-hp V8. The V8 can also pair with a mild-hybrid system providing more torque and better gas mileage. Each Built to Serve model also includes the 4×4 Off-Road Group package.

However, new exterior and interior design elements make this truck special. Buyers can choose between Redline (deep red) and Diamond Black exterior body paint.

Black adorns the bumpers, grille, wheel flares, wheels, exhaust tips, and even the truck’s badges. In addition, each rear quarter panel bears an American flag decal.

The Built to Serve lineup kicked off with Gator (green) and Diamond Black trucks to honor the U.S. Army, MotorTrend reports.

Next came Navy-inspired trucks in nautical colors of Patriot Blue and Ceramic Gray.

Then there were Built to Serve Marines trucks in Flame Red or Tank (green) paint, complemented by green interior stitching.

The Air Force Ram 1500 offered Anvil (gray) and Billet Silver body colors, much like a standard airplane.

Last, the Coast Guard Built to Serve truck came in Spitfire (orange) or Bright White.

These trucks are part of Ram’s effort to garner community volunteers that support military veterans and first responders in need. When you purchase one, you don’t just get a great truck. You also draw attention to a noble cause.
