Just because the Ram 2500 is already known for being one of the best towing options doesn’t mean it can’t get better. The 2022 Ram 2500 managed to get even better by gaining new towing features to make things easier and safer. 

The 2022 Ram 2500 has new towing upgrades 

If you need to get work done, the 2022 Ram 2500 can tow up to 20,000 lbs. It’s one of the most capable options of its size. With the 6.7-liter V8 Cummins Turbo Diesel, it provides 370 hp and 850 lb-ft of torque! 

You can get started in a new Ram 2500 for about $37,050. The 6.4-liter V8 engine pumps out 410 hp and 429 lb-ft of torque. You can opt for the limited-slip differential and load-leveling air suspension to improve the ride quality even more. 

But the most exciting upgrades for 2022 include the addition of multiple towing functions to simplify hitching up and hauling.

The heavy-duty Ram 2500 is available with a new Tow Mode, and it’s paired with the digital rearview mirror. It allows the driver to virtually see what’s behind the trailer. A remote camera displays what’s behind the trailer, so you will know if someone is coming up behind you. 

Plus, it shows you if you have room to change lanes. Oftentimes trailers can obstruct the driver’s view, making switching lanes unsafe. Also, Tow Mode provides more visibility while backing up and parking. It should make every driving situation easier. 

Take advantage of the Trailer View 360 system

The second new feature is the Trailer 360 View. It uses four cameras to provide a bird’ eye view of everyone around your trailer. Enjoy a 360-degree view of your trailer’s immediate surroundings. 

This increases your awareness and makes parking, maneuvering, and entering the road more convenient. Easily avoid poles and other barriers that might be too close to your trailer. The view kit includes the four cameras and wiring that’s necessary to set it up. 

Don’t forget about the Trailer Hitch Light 

The 2022 Ram 2500 features a new light package to illuminate your trailer hitch. This helps you hook your trailer up in the dark. After a long day of camping or riding ATVs, this will simplify the process of loading up. 

The Trailer Hitch Light package is included in the Trailor Tow Group and consists of four LED lights. The light appears directly above the trailer hitch. 

What else is new for the Ram HD? 

The 2022 Ram 2500 comes with the new Ucoonect 5 infotainment software. It’s expected to respond much faster and will provide new content. This should make using the 12.0-inch screen more intuitive. 

Check out the new Silver Edition for the Lone Star and Big Horn trims. It adds chrome exterior pieces and black interior accents. Plus, the Lone Star and Big Horn models have new grille designs. 

The Power Wagon comes with a unique grille, black headlight surrounds, an electronic transfer case, the 12.0-inch touchscreen, and a 750-watt Harmon Kardon stereo. Also, the interior includes higher-quality materials.
