The Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro is the final 4Runner trim. The 4Runner TRD Pro is the trim that many fans of the 4Runner want because it is the most off-road-worthy 4Runner trim. It starts at $52,920.

The 2022 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro comes standard with skid plate covering for the engine and front suspension, skid plate covering for the transfer case, and all-terrain tires. It also includes a tire pressure monitoring system, a panoramic view monitor, and an overhead console with Multi-Terrain Select and Crawl Control.

The TRD Pro features a Blind-Spot Monitor, heated outside mirrors, and a TRD roof rack. It also comes with a locking rear differential, a coil-spring independent double wishbone front suspension with stabilizer bar, and Hill Start Control. The midsize SUV includes SofTex-trimmed heated front seats, a leather-trimmed steering wheel, and an in-key remote keyless entry system.

2022 Toyota 4 Runner Limited: Pass

The Toyota 4Runner Limited is the penultimate 4Runner trim. It starts at $47,690.

The Toyota 4Runner Limited features standard heated power outside mirrors, roof rails, and perforated leather-trimmed seats. It also includes an in-key remote keyless entry system, front and rear parking sonar, and an anti-theft system with engine immobilizer.

The 2022 4Runner Limited comes with a panoramic view monitor, a multi-information display, and rear occupancy alert. The Toyota 4Runner Limited is a pass because it’s too expensive for the average consumer. More affordable midsize SUVs like the Kia Telluride SX offer more value for the money.

The 2022 Kia Telluride SX starts at $43,290. It comes with second-row captain chairs, dual sunroofs, and a wireless phone charger. The midsize SUV also includes heated and ventilated front seats, a surround view monitor, and a blind-spot view monitor. The Kia Telluride is considered the best midsize SUV because it’s stylish, comfortable, and loaded with great features.

The Toyota 4Runner TRD Off-Road: Buy

The Toyota 4Runner TRD Off-Road is a buy because of it’s the perfect mix of affordable and well-equipped. The 4Runner TRD Off-Road starts at $41,935.

The midsize SUV comes standard with skid plates, roof rails, and front and rear mud guards. It also includes a leather-trimmed steering wheel, Multi-Terrain Select, and Crawl Control.

The 2022 Toyota 4Runner TRD Off-Road is a great option because it has plenty of great off-roading features and it doesn’t break the bank. The SR5 and Trail Special Edition also offer great value for the money, but the TRD Off-Road is the perfect middleground between the base model and final trim level. Car and Driver recommends the TRD Off-Road.
