On the performance front, the Toyota Corolla Cross outmuscles the Honda HR-V. It has a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, which generates 169 hp and 150 lb-ft of torque. In comparison, the 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine in the HR-V generates only 141 hp and 127 lb-ft of torque. Both crossovers have a continuously variable transmission.

For pricing, the 2022 HR-V costs slightly less than the 2022 Corolla Cross. The starting prices for the 2022 HR-V range from $21,420 for the LX trim to $26,220 for the EX-L trim.
