2022 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Limited: Want
The 2022 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Limited is the final RAV4 Hybrid trim. It is the most expensive RAV4 Hybrid model, yet it still starts under $40K. The RAV4 Hybrid Limited starts at $38,075. That’s far below the average new vehicle price.
The RAV4 Hybrid Limited costs $8,500 more than the RAV4 Hybrid LE base model. So, what do buyers get for that additional $8,500?
The 2022 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Limited comes standard with SofTex-trimmed seats, an 11-speaker JBL audio system, and a multi-information display monitor. It also features standard electronic on-demand all-wheel drive, Toyota’s Safety Sense suite of safety and driver assistance features, and 18.0-inch Super Chrome-finished sport alloy wheels.
The RAV4 Hybrid Limited is the trim to want because it’s the trim that comes loaded with the most standard features. Its affordable starting price makes the RAV4 Hybrid Limited even more attractive. The final trim level may be the one to want, but that doesn’t mean it’s the one to buy.
2022 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid XLE: Buy
The 2022 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid starts at $29,575. It uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and two electric motors to make 219 horsepower. The small hybrid SUV achieves an impressive 41 miles per gallon in the city and 38 miles per gallon on the highway.
The Hybrid LE base model may be too barebones for some drivers, so the Hybrid XLE is the trim to buy. The RAV4 Hybrid XLE starts at $31,045. It comes standard with a smart key system, Toyota Safety Sense, and LED daytime running lights.
The 2022 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid XLE only costs $4,070 more than the gas-powered RAV4. It’s affordable enough for the average consumer and a great entry point into the world of hybrid vehicles. Kelley Blue Book praises the RAV4 Hybrid’s roomy interior and many great standard features.
2022 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid LE, SE, XSE: Pass
The 2022 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid comes in six different trim levels. Many drivers will pass on the base model LE in favor of the XLE because the XLE offers better standard features for a price difference of just $1,470. The XLE Premium is worth considering because of features like the power tilt/slide moonroof, and SofTex trimmed seats.
The Hybrid SE’s features won’t justify its price for some drivers. The XSE model comes with great features, but it’s one of two RAV4 Hybrid trims that starts over $35K. If you’re going to spend that much on a RAV4 Hybrid, you might as well get the RAV4 Hybrid Limited and ensure that you get every cool feature. Ultimately, the RAV4 Hybrid has plenty to offer, but the Hybrid XLE provides the most value for the money in terms of affordability.
