Standard Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 for all 2022 Tundra models
Driving assistance technologies have rapidly advanced in recent years. They improve the overall safety of vehicles. Additionally, driving assistance technologies result in a more convenient driving experience. For some truck models, you have to go with the higher trim levels and pay extra to get many of the advanced driving assistance technologies. However, for the Tundra, the Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 suite of driving assistance technologies comes standard for all trims.
What features are in Toyota Safety Sense 2.5?
Features in Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 include dynamic radar cruise control, a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, lane departure alert, automatic high beams, road sign assist, and lane tracing assist.
Using a radar system and an integrated camera, the pre-collision system helps reduce the chances of the Tundra crashing into a car or pedestrian. The dynamic radar cruise control uses two cameras to enable the Tundra to maintain a set distance behind other vehicles.
The lane tracing assist feature for the Tundra monitors other vehicles and lane markings to stay safely centered in a lane. For the lane departure alert, the system alerts you if it detects that you veered from your lane.
The Tundra automatic high beams feature will automatically toggle between low and high beams by using a camera to detect the lights of other cars. The road sign assist feature detects various road signs and then displays them on a multi-information display in the Tundra. This includes stop signs, yield signs, speed limit signs, and Do Not Enter signs.
