The seemingly endless wait for official information on the 2023 Acura Integra is finally over. Starting March 10th, 2022, the new Integra is available for reservations. Surprisingly, the production model’s appearance looks almost identical to the prototype. That’s a refreshing start! Let’s dig into the trim levels, specs, features, and everything else you need to know!

What are the 2023 Acura Integra specs?

The Acura press release outlines its available three trim levels. The base trim, simply known as Integra, the A-spec trim, and the A-spec with technology package.

An automatic continuously variable transmission (CVT) with paddle shifters is standard on all models. Furthermore, it is the base model’s sole transmission offering. However, unlike leaks that had us believing recently, both A-spec trim levels are available with a six-speed manual transmission, not just the top-level A-spec Tech. The manual transmission models include electronic rev-matching and a limited-slip differential.

All models of the 2023 Acura Integra use the turbocharged 1.5-liter high-output four-pot found in the current Civic Si, confirming those rumors as well. It makes a healthy 200 horsepower and 192 pound-feet of torque. Additionally, it does, in fact, include Honda’s legendary variable valve timing system, VTEC.

Across all models, you’ll find a MacPherson strunt suspension assembly up front and a multi-link suspension assembly in the rear. Acura’s Adaptive Damper System that allows electronic adjustment of the suspension stiffness to switch from normal driving ride quality to a sportier and stiffer arrangement with a simple touch is available. Combining this with what Acura calls an “exceptionally rigid body and sport-tuned chassis” undoubtedly makes for a fun driving experience. Acura isn’t afraid to tell the world that they want customers to drive it the fun way, either.

Inside, the Integra has a pretty good set of standard features. A 10.2-inch digital gauge cluster, 8-speaker premium sound, USB charging, and an infotainment system compatible with Android Auto and Apple Carplay are standard across all models. All of which creates what Acura calls a “distinctive driver-focused interior design (that) creates the perfect environment for spirited driving.”

What do the upper trim levels get you?

It appears that moving up from the base level trim to the A-spec really only nets you a few things. The option to have a manual transmission, the A-spec Sport Appearance Package, and an upgrade to 18-inch wheels over the base model’s 17-inch offering. Other than that, it seems the only other advantage of the A-spec trim over the base model is LED fog lights.

However, stepping up to the A-spec Tech trim makes a world of difference.

On top of the upgrades on the standard A-spec model, the Technology Package adds a few exterior enhancements like LED puddle lamps and front and rear proximity sensors.

The most significant advantage of the A-spec Tech level in terms of performance is the Adaptive Damper System mentioned above. Alongside the ADS ensemble comes individual mode, a setting that allows drivers to fine-tune the ride quality and handling to their liking.

The most substantial upgrades with the Technology Package are inside, though. In addition to the USB Type-A port, the A-spec Tech features three USB-C ports. It also has a 12-way power driver’s seat with two-position memory and a four-way power passengers seat. Lower trims feature an eight-way driver’s seat and an un-powered passenger seat.

It also features wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, a head-up display, wireless charging, ambient interior LED lighting, and an upgrade to a 9-inch touchscreen display over the 7-inch unit found in lower trims. Additionally, it features an impressive 16-speaker ELS Studio premium sound system.

CVT A-spec Tech models have keyless remote engine start. Finally, the top trim 2023 Acura Integra features Amazon’s Alexa built-in with the available AcuraLink mobile app to control vehicle features like locks, the security alarm, and GPS tracking from your phone.

How much will the 2023 Integra cost?

Though we still don’t have trim-level-specific pricing, Acura officially confirmed a starting price of $30,000. Interested parties can now make a reservation for a new Integra with a refundable $500 deposit at their local Acura dealer. Additionally, the first 500 Integra reservations come with the opportunity to claim an exclusive NFT.

Acura made good on all of its promises and, for that, we applaud them. Though no company can please everyone, it seems Acura did its best to uphold the iconic namesake of the Integra. People will undoubtedly still be upset about the lack of a three-door hatchback variant. However, buyers of this new Integra are not likely to be disappointed.
