2023 Cadillac Escalade V: An Overview of the Luxury SUV
Are you drawn to the luxury and spaciousness of the Cadillac Escalade? Do you want to take its performance up a few notches? If so, then you’ll be very impressed with the all-new 2023 Cadillac Escalade V. The Escalade V is the first SUV to feature the high-performance V-Series badge, which draws upon nearly 20 years of racing experience. Find out what we know so far about the release date, price, and specs of the 2023 Cadillac Escalade V high-performance luxury SUV.
When can you get the 2023 Cadillac Escalade V?
The debut date of the 2023 Cadillac Escalade V was set for Spring 2022. Orders opened on May 19, 2022, per GM Authority. This likely means that the Escalade V will probably be available in Fall 2022 and at dealerships throughout the United States.
How much is the 2023 Cadillac Escalade V?
The 2023 Escalade V starts at $149,990. Given the high-performance V-Series treatment, it seemed likely that the new model would be as much, if not more, than the higher trims of the 2022 Escalade V. The 2022 Escalade Sport Platinum and 2022 Escalade Premium Luxury Platinum trims start at $101,595 MSRP.
2023 Cadillac Escalade V specs
The 2023 Escalade has a supercharged 6.2-liter LT4 V-8. We originally suspected that the new model would probably have a version that’s in the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing sedan. In the CT5-V Blackwing sedan, the 6.2-liter LT4 V-8 engine generates 668 horsepower and 669 lb-ft of torque.
As detailed by Car and Driver, it was possible the Cadillac could have detuned the 6.2-liter LT4 V-8 engine for its application in the Escalade V. But, the LT4 V-8 engine has a considerably higher horsepower output than the 420-hp 6.2-liter V-8 engine in the currently available Escalade.
The early photos that Cadillac released for the 2023 Escalade V showed only a standard-wheelbase model. However, spy shots of the Escalade V also showed a long-wheelbase Escalade ESV version.
As Cadillac and General Motors move to electrify their lineup, the Escalade V might be the last gas-powered V-Series model produced.
Design of the 2023 Escalade V
Cadillac also modified the design of the 2023 Escalade for the V trim, especially for the front. The front bottom section features a beefy lower grille. At each side of the lower grille, there are LEDs with a vent-like trim piece. Other notable design features include a new front splitter, multi-spoke gray wheels, a quad-tip exhaust, and a faux diffuser. Also, the Escalade V has blacked-out trim. Additionally, there are “V” badges on the front doors, rear hatch, and steering wheel.
