2023 Cadillac LYRIQ Buyers Get Electric Vehicle Charging Deal
The 2023 Cadillac LYRIQ is ready to hit the market, with orders opening this week. The LYRIQ electric SUV has already started production for the Debut Edition, but Cadillac wants to sweeten the deal a bit for buyers. The 2023 Cadillac Lyriq price includes a charging deal that can be used at home or at a public electric vehicle charging station.
How much does a 2023 Cadillac LYRIQ cost?
Cadillac announced this week that the new 2023 LYRIQ has an EPA-estimated range of 312 miles on a full charge. The 2023 Cadillac Lyriq price will start at $62,990, and Cadillac says it is getting closer to delivery every day.
Ordering for the electric LYRIQ opens today, with deliveries of the rear-wheel-drive version happening sometime this fall. The 2023 LYRIQ Debut Edition will start deliveries this summer. This version was available through reservation only. The rear-wheel-drive LYRIQ has the EPA-estimated 312 miles of range on a full charge.
The all-wheel drive version will start at $64,990, but no EPA estimates have been public yet. Cadillac hopes to have those closer to the start of production, which is slated for early 2023. But Cadillac is offering something to sweeten the deal for those who might be new to the world of electric vehicles.
The 2023 Cadillac LYRIQ wants to create a seamless charging experience
Those who order a new 2023 Cadillac LYRIQ will get two options to help with the seamless charging experience. The first option is to get two years of unlimited charging at EVgo charging stations. EVgo has more than 850 DC fast-charging stations in more than 30 states, but this won’t be a good option for people in the other states.
Buyers can also opt for a $1,500 credit toward a home charger through Qmerit. Cadillac LYRIQ owners can use that money on the professional installation of a Level 2 (AC) charger or a 240-volt outlet at home. Most buyers will likely opt for the Level 2 charger as it makes charging faster and easier. The Level 2 charger can add 52 miles of range per hour at a rate of 19.2 kW. DC Fast-Charging can add 76 miles of range in 10 minutes at a rate of up to 190 kW.
Cadillac has included a dual-level charger that buyers can use in 120-volt and 240-volt outlets with the purchase of any LYRIQ. The automaker will also offer 11.5 kilowatt or 19.2kW wall-mounted charging stations.
Don’t wait around if you want to place a reservation
The RWD 2023 Cadillac LYRIQ will get a 12-module, 100 kWh battery pack getting 340 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque. The AWD version will get a second drive unit that will deliver an estimated 500 hp. It can also tow up to a 3,500-pound trailer. The LYRIQ will utilize the GM Ultium Platform like the rest of the future electric vehicles.
The last time Cadillac opened reservations for the LYRIQ, it sold out in minutes. The automaker didn’t allow for too many reservations of the 2023 Cadillac Lyriq Debut Edition since it will be a special limited edition version. If you are interested in reserving a 2023 Cadillac Lyriq, be ready to jump when the reservation form opens!
