2023 Cadillac SUVs: A Guide to the Latest Models
Cadillac may have had a few rough years while other automakers stole the luxury brand’s thunder, but that’s all about to change. Five 2023 Cadillac SUVs are coming. Though none is cheap, they offer a lot for their segment. Here’s what we know.
2023 Cadillac XT4
The 2023 Cadillac XT4 is a small luxury crossover with three trim levels. The first is the luxury, with an MSRP of $36,295. The middle trim level is the Premium Luxury, and the MSRP is $40,195. Finally, the Sport is the highest trim level, which may be confusing as most Sport trims are usually the lowest. In this case, it costs about $600 more than the Premium Luxury trim, with an MSRP of $40,795.
Each trim comes equipped with a 2.0-liter Turbo 4-cylinder engine and a 9-speed automatic transmission. An FWD system comes standard, but you can upgrade to an AWD for all three trim levels.
The Cadillac Smart System suite of safety and driver assistance features is also offered standard. It includes several features, such as intelligent alerts, vehicle monitoring, emergency braking, and parking assistance. This is the one that Consumer Reports was the least satisfied with out of Cadillac’s SUVs
2023 Cadillac XT5
The 2023 Cadillac XT5 is a midsize luxury SUV with many features. Like the XT4, it also comes with three trim levels. The Luxury trim has an MSRP of $44,195, the Premium Luxury costs $49,995, and the Sport has quite the price jump with an MSRP of $57,095.
The XT5 Luxury and Premium Luxury come standard with a 2.0-liter Turbo 4-cylinder engine, and the Sports gets an upgrade to the 3.6-liter V6 engine. There are several features, such as the Cadillac Smart System, as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which come standard. It’s also Cadillac’s best-selling SUV.
2023 Cadillac XT6
The 2023 Cadillac XT6 is a midsize three-row SUV that seats up to seven passengers. The Luxury trim starts at $49,990, and the Premium Luxury is $56,190.
The two available engines on the XT6 are the 2.0-liter Turbo 4-cylinder engine and the 3.6-liter V6 engine. FWD is the standard system, although you can upgrade to an AWD. If you choose the AWD system, you can also choose the Sport trim, which has an MSRP of $61,490.
There isn’t a wide range of room for luggage with the seats up, but this increases drastically as you lay the seats down. There is 12.6 cu-ft with all rows up, 43.1 cu-ft with the third row down, and an impressive 78.7 cu-ft with the second row down.
2023 Cadillac Lyriq
Cadillac is going electric with the Lyriq. It’s one of Cadillac’s more expensive vehicles, with a starting price of $62,990.
Cadillac is going all out with its first electric SUV. It gets an EPA-estimated 312 miles of range and an optional AWD. It’s powered by an ultium battery.
There is a 33″ diagonal advanced LED display which curves toward the driver, which displays all the essential information you’ll need to drive, as well as offers features such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
According to Cadillac, all orders for the 2023 model are currently full, but you can always opt for the 2024 model.
2023 Cadillac Escalade
The 2023 Cadillac Escalade is a full-size SUV and takes the trophy for being Cadillac’s most expensive model with a starting price of $79,795. There are six trim levels, and the highest, the V-Series, has an MSRP of $150,920.
The 2023 Escalade comes equipped with a 6.2-liter V8 engine, but you can upgrade to a 6.2-liter Supercharged V8 engine with the V-Series. The curved OLED screen is even bigger than the one in the Lyriq. In this case, it’s an eye-watering 38″, which helps it stand out in the luxury SUV segment.
