The 2023 Chevrolet Corvette sports many of the same interior features as previous C8 model years. However, in our 2022 review of the model’s interior, we took some issue with the C8’s cockpit; it’s driver-oriented– almost to a fault. So, is the 2023 Corvette’s interior a worthwhile environment, or another experiment in passenger solitary confinement?

The 2023 Chevrolet Corvette’s interior takes driver-centric orientation to the next level

The 2023 Corvette, and the C8 models before it, employ driver-centric design. However, while many cars orient screens and gauges toward their drivers, the C8 takes it to a new level. The driver is isolated from their passenger by a sloped wall of controls.

While helpful, the interior landscape exiles the passenger to the automotive Isle of Elba. Even reaching the eight-inch infotainment screen is precarious thanks to the driver-oriented layout. However, the operator focal point and squared-off steering wheel create a four-wheeled fighter-jet sensation and, better yet, a feeling of agency to match the Corvette’s explosive performance.

Does the C8 have more room than the C7?

The 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray packs 12.6 cubic feet of storage, a bit shy of the 15 cubic feet in the C7 Stingray Coupe. However, the C8’s frunk provides useful overflow storage.

Moreover, the two-seater 2023 Coupe carries over the removable roof panel, with space to stow the section in the trunk. Furthermore, Car and Driver asserts that the C8 model will swallow up two golf bags with a stowed roof panel.

What interior features are included with the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette trim levels?

The 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray has three trim levels: the base 1LT, 2LT, and range-topping 3LT. Each trim level has a series of features, culminating in more opulent materials in the 3LT.

TrimIncluded Features
1LTDigital gauge cluster, heated mirrors, 10-speaker Bose sound system, keyless operation, remote start, rear park assist, three months of Sirius XM Radio, a leather-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel, and eight-way power-adjustable seats
2LTBase 1LT features plus a 14-speaker Bose audio system, adds a heads-up display, heated and ventilated seats, performance data functionality, auto-dimming mirrors, and wireless device charging
3LT2LT features plus a premium leather interior materials and carbon fiber trim

Finally, the 2023 model features a 70th Anniversary Edition for the Stingray and Z06. The 70th Anniversary model adds two monochromatic hues to the lineup: Carbon Flash Metallic, and White Pearl Metallic Tri-Coat. Furthermore, sharp eyes will pick up on the 70th Anniversary’s red stripe that closes the inner perimeter of the model-specific wheels.

The 2023 model is a driver’s sweet spot, if also an isolation zone for passengers. As a result, you might want to entertain with some throttle and cornering force.
