After Chevy brought the Blazer name back a few years ago, it proved to be a bit underwhelming. While the SUV is fine, it hasn’t seen the numbers or hype of competitors like the Ford Bronco. However, the 2023 Chevy Blazer gained many improvements for the new model year that make it much better. The automaker just unveiled the refreshed 2023 Chevy Blazer, and it smashes the 2022 Blazer by a mile.

According to CarScoops, there are plenty of new things to go around with the all-new 2023 Chevy Blazer. Small details on the exterior have changed to give it a new style; new wheels and colors are now available for the SUV. Finally, the interior received plenty of upgrades. These include a brand new infotainment screen, new features, and even more.

On the outside of the SUV, the overall body shape remains unchanged from the previous model year. However, minor tweaks to the little details make all the difference in the world. For instance, the grille still underlines the DRLs, but it now splits down to the reshaped lower light. Its taillight design is different, ditching the chevrons for an intersecting pattern.

Next, some new wheels have been added to the lineup for customers to purchase. Included are 18-, 20-, and 21-inch wheels, providing buyers with plenty of options. Lastly, the 2023 Chevy Blazer is available in never-before-seen colors. New to the Blazer lineup are Fountain Blue, Sterling Gray Metallic, Copper Bronze Metallic, and Radiant Red Tintcoat. Each of these colors will cost you extra.

Firstly, all models now come with a 10-inch touchscreen for the infotainment center. All models now have available wireless charging, standard on RS and Premier, but optional on the lower trims. Additionally, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot is available across the board but costs extra.

Next, more 2023 Chevy Blazer trims get driver assistance features than ever before. For the 2LT and 3LT models, adaptive cruise control is now available. In addition, the Chevy Safety Assist package comes standard with each. This package includes automatic emergency braking, a following distance indicator, forward collision alert, front pedestrian braking, lane keep assist, lane departure warnings, and automatic high beams.

The all-new Blazer has two engine options

All the technology and design changes are good, but what do you really want to know? The answer to the age-old question, “what’s under the hood,” has two answers for 2023. First, the standard engine for the 2023 Chevy Blazer 2LT, 3LT, and Premier is a turbocharged 2.0-liter I4 LSY making 228 horsepower and 247 lb-ft of torque. Next, the 3.6-liter V6 LGX is only standard for the RS trim level but is available for both 3LT, and Premier trims.

Both engines come paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission with front-wheel drive standard. All-wheel drive is available for extra across all models if you need it.

In conclusion, the all-new 2023 Chevy Blazer smashes the 2022 Blazer in many ways. The new model is far better than its predecessor, with some exterior design tweaks, interior and feature upgrades, and revamped engine options. That’s what’s new with the 2023 Chevy Blazer and why it’s better than the 2022 Blazer.
