On the performance front, the 2023 Blazer offers two engine options: a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four-cylinder engine (228 hp) and a 3.6-liter V-6 engine (308 hp). In comparison, the 2022 Equinox only offers one engine option: a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine (170 hp).

The Equinox has the advantage for efficiency. It has an estimated fuel economy of up to 26 city/31 highway mpg, while the Blazer has a gas mileage up to 22 city/29 highway mpg.

Blazer vs. Equinox: Off-road capabilities and towing
