When will the 2023 Chevy Bolt EV be available?

The 2023 Chevy Bolt EV is expected to hit roads in late Summer/early Fall 2022. According to GM Authority, production was delayed until late July 2022. It will be available for buy at Chevrolet dealerships throughout the United States and in select international markets. The Chevy Bolt EV is built alongside the Bolt EUV at the GM Orion plant in Lake Orion, Michigan.

How much does the 2023 Chevy Bolt EV cost?

As mentioned earlier, the 2023 Chevrolet Bolt EV costs significantly less than the 2022 Bolt EV and is now the cheapest electric car in the U.S. The starting prices of the 2023 Bolt EV are $26,500 MSRP for the 1LT trim and $29,700 MSRP for the 2LT trim. Compared to the 2022 Bolt EV, this is a $5,000 price reduction for each trim.

The 2023 Bolt EV features a single electric motor, which generates 200 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque. All Bolt EV models have a front-wheel drive system. Unlike the Bolt EUV, the Bolt EV doesn’t offer all-wheel drive. For acceleration, it can go from 0-60 mph in 6.5 seconds.

On the efficiency front, the Bolt EV has an estimated fuel economy of up to 120 combined MPGe. On a full charge, the Bolt EV has an estimated driving range of 259 miles. Also, the electric hatchback has fast-charging capabilities, with the ability to add 100 miles of range in 30 minutes.

What’s new for the 2023 Bolt EV?

Other than the decrease in cost, the Chevy Bolt EV has only minor changes for the 2023 model year. It offers one new exterior paint color option: Radiant Red Tintcoat. The 2023 Bolt EV also offers new accessories: an illuminated charge port and front and rear floor liners.
