It’s time for trucks to reveal their fresh new looks, and we can’t wait to see the new Chevy Colorado. For the first time since 2015, the 2023 Chevy Colorado LT features one attractive new makeover. Let’s see what’s on the way.

According to GM Authority, the 2023 Chevy Colorado LT is all new. The Colorado is officially being redesigned for 2023 with a brand new exterior and interior. However, the spy shots we’ve seen show the truck heavily covered in camouflage.

But we still have a few clues to go on. The new Colorado LT features a more confident front end with new LED headlights. They could have projector beam bulbs to provide a modern and advanced look.

The lights have a horizontal layout with LEDs at the top. New lightning elements stretch across the top of the grille, and a set of round fog lamps sit lower in the front bumper. So, we know what thing for sure, this truck will light up the darkness.

What else do we know about the new Colorado?

Based on the spy shots, the 2023 Chevy Colorado LT rides on new 18-inch wheels with black machining and a 12-spoke design. They are wrapped in beefy Goodyear tires. Also, these wheels have been spotted on other prototypes like the Chevy Colorado WT.

The Colorado features revised body panels for a sleeker look and rides on the 31XX-2 platform. This is an updated version of the GMT-31XX midsize body-on-frame platform. Hopefully, it will provide a sportier ride with better manners on the pavement.

Rumors suggest that the Colorado will gain a new turbocharged 2.4-liter inline-four engine. In the Chevy Silverado 1500, this engine provides 310 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque. It may offer a different amount of power in the Colorado due to its different weight and size.

The 2022 Chevy Colorado features q 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 200 hp and 191 lb-ft of torque. You can upgrade to the 3.6-liter V6 engine for 308 hp and 275 lb-ft of torque. Also, the 2.8-liter four-cylinder diesel engine cranks out 181 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque.

So, the new engine will provide more power. The diesel powertrain may bite the dust. Also, the gas powertrain is expected to be paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The manual transmission was dropped in 2019.

When can you get a 2023 Colorado?

When should get more information about the 2023 Chevy Colorado any day now. It’s expected to be available during the second half of 2022, which is only a few months away. The Colorado WT is the basic Work Truck trim.

The 2023 Chevy Colorado LT should add more tech, such as a larger touchscreen and extra safety features. The ZR2 Package, Premier, and ZR2 trims should be available with extra goodies as well.

We might be the most excited about the new Chevy Colorado ZR2 because it’s been spotted while benchmarking a Ford Ranger Raptor. It features 33-inch tires, a front skid plate, and Multimatic DSSV shocks.

We can’t wait to learn more about the 2023 Colorado lineup. We will have updates as soon as Chevrolet releases new information.
