Which 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 trims have wireless Apple CarPlay?

The automaker gave almost all 2023 Chevy Silverado trims wireless Apple CarPlay as a standard feature. Only one trim — the WT — doesn’t include wireless Apple CarPlay as standard equipment, but it’s still available as an option. That isn’t surprising, considering the base model is a bare-bones work truck. Regardless, many Silverado owners can still take advantage of the convenience of this wireless feature for compatible iPhone models.

Apple CarPlay allows users to connect their iPhones to their vehicle’s infotainment system. It lets the driver access many smartphone apps through the central infotainment screen. Wireless Apple CarPlay is an even more convenient version of the feature because it doesn’t require a lightning cable for connection.

In addition, Apple plans to roll out a significant update to Apple CarPlay in 2023, Business Insider reports. The update will expand CarPlay’s capabilities, allowing more customization across multiple displays instead of only the central infotainment screen.

However, Chevy has yet to partner with Apple for this new update, so it’s unclear when Silverado owners can take advantage of it.

The latest Silverado boasts plenty of other tech features

Beyond providing wireless Apple CarPlay, the 2023 Chevy Silverado also has Bluetooth. Wireless Android Auto is also available or a standard feature in the same trims as Apple CarPlay. Most models also come with a Wi-Fi hotspot. Furthermore, some trims offer access to a 13.4-inch touchscreen, and other information screens are available on those trims too.

In addition, Chevrolet equipped all 2023 Silverado trims with Teen Driver, a feature the automaker designed to keep young drivers safer. Other advanced driver-assistance systems include forward collision warning and automated emergency braking. Plus, the High Country trim has access to Super Cruise, General Motors’ semiautonomous driving tech.
