The Chevrolet Corvette continues to be one of America’s favorite sports cars. Sure, it has a few flaws, such as iffy traction in bad weather and challenging seat access. Still, the benefits far outweigh the drawbacks. Here are the areas where 2023 Corvette owners are most satisfied with this model year.
2023 Chevy Corvette owners appreciate the well-insulated cabin
Since its 2020 redesign, the Chevy Corvette is quieter than ever. The cabin is free of disturbances due to vibrations or road noise. We probably owe that to the Vette’s active noise cancellation and stiff chassis, the latter engineered to keep noise at a minimum.
Given that the engine is close to the driver’s ears, creating a quiet cabin isn’t an easy feat. The current Corvette generation has a mid-engine design with a standard 6.2-liter V8 harnessing 490 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque. The eight-speed dual-clutch automatic also has no any outstanding noise complaints.
That transmission also pairs with an optional 5.8-liter V8 harnessing 670 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. Both powertrain choices boast a satisfying engine note. In addition, buyers can also add a performance exhaust as a part of the Z51 package.
Drivers also enjoy the sound system quality
Corvette owners report their music sounds excellent. That’s thanks to premium Bose speakers. The base Stingray has a 10-speaker Bose system with SurroundStage, CenterPoint, and Audiopilot technology. This setup provides standard surround sound, and CenterPoint helps convert any song into multiple channels for an improved listening experience. AudioPilot automatically adjusts the audio volume levels based on the ambient noise inside the cabin.
