The new line of Ford F-Series Super Duty trucks makes Godzilla the monster you want instead of the beast to flee. The new Godzilla engine gives the 2023 Ford F-Series Super Duty lineup more power than before.

What engines does the 2023 Ford F-Series Super Duty have?

The 2023 Ford F-Series Super Duty trucks are available with a new 6.8-liter gasoline-powered Godzilla engine. It’s based on the 7.3-liter Godzilla V8 engine from the previous generation. It cranks out 430 hp and 473 lb-ft of torque.

However, according to AutoBlog, the official figures for the new engine haven’t been released. The new option will replace the 6.2-liter V8 engine with 385 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque.

Ford went with a bigger option to enhance low-end torque and to provide the most standard engine power in the class. The 7.3-liter engine is staying. But it has a new air intake system and new tuning to provide more power and torque.

You can still opt for the 6.7-liter turbodiesel V8 engine. It currently provides 475 hp and 1,050 lb-ft torque. In the 2023, Ford F-250 and F-350 will have two output options. The standard unit will hold more oil to increase its range between oil changes.

The high output version has new exhaust manifolds and a different tune for more power and torque. It should deliver the highest towing and payload ratings in the class.

What else is new for the Ford Super Duty trucks?

The 2023 Ford F-Series Super Duy trucks are ditching the old six-speed automatic transmission and gaining a standard 10-speed automatic transmission across the lineup.

Also, the frame and body have been enhanced with improvements such as sheet metal. A new electrical architecture supports plenty of new tech, and the suspension has new shocks for a better ride quality.

The 2023 Ford F-250 Super Duty will continue to offer its regular series, and the F-350 will be offered with the Regular, Supercab, and Crew Cab configurations.

Seven different grille designs are available, so hopefully, you’ll find at least one option attractive. The new grille stretches around the C-shaped headlights to protect them and to provide a wider look. It looks like a giant Ford Maverick grille, or two stacked together.

Is the 2023 F-Series more capable?

Yes, the 2023 Ford F-Series Super Duty lineup is more capable than before. The trucks have new, larger aerofunctional vents, and the Tremor Off-Road package is being carried over. The massive trucks are available with Trail Assist to make maneuvering easier.

The new XL Off-Road package helps at work sites with an affordable price. It includes 33-inch tires wrapped in all-terrain tires, a raised air dam, water-fording axle vent tubes, skid plates, and an electronic-locking rear differential.

The bumper integrates steps on both sides for easier access to the bed. Plus, there are steps on both sides of the bed closer to the cab. This allows you to access items without crawling up in there.

Plus, Ford Super Duty trucks are available with the Power Pro Onboard Generator to power tools, lights, and more at work sites.

We’ve only scratched the surface with this list of upgrades. Stay tuned for the latest updates about power and pricing.
