What engine does the F-150 King Ranch come with?

The 2023 Ford F-150 King Ranch comes standard with the 5.0-liter V8 engine. It makes 400 horsepower and 410 pound-foot of torque. The engine also unlocks a payload capacity of 3,280 lbs, even though most King Ranch owners probably aren’t hauling much with their truck. 

If you want, there are two optional V6 engines. One is a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6, and the other is the PowerBoost hybrid engine. If you want a hybrid truck, the 2023 F-150 offers that feature. And that will allow you to get at least some efficiency from your full-size pickup. 

One perk of the King Ranch truck is the fact that it comes standard with four-wheel drive. And at over $60k, that is probably a good thing. If you want, you can get an electronic-locking rear differential. And that will also add some cost to this luxury truck. 

Is it worth it to buy a 2023 Ford F-150?

According to Car and Driver, the new F-150 is a fairly solid truck. As one of Ford’s flagship models, the brand does invest quite a bit into it. Especially when it comes to the higher trims like the King Ranch. Now, because the F-150 King Ranch is so expensive, it’s probably best to decide if you really need all it has to offer. 

It is a luxury truck with legitimate luxury features. Plus, you get the cache of the King Ranch name and branding.
