Since its introduction, the Ford Maverick has become quite the popular compact pickup truck. It is legitimately affordable, allowing more folks to get behind the wheel of something with a truck bed. And, for 2023, the Blue Oval has made a number of updates to this vehicle. It includes the addition of a new package, which makes the 2023 Maverick a small truck that is ready for adventure. With what the Tremor package brings to the table, it is easy to see this becoming a hot commodity. 

Is the Ford Maverick getting a Tremor package?

Although the Maverick already offered the FX4 Off-Road package, Ford is taking things to the next level by adding an optional Tremor package. If you are familiar with Ford trucks, you likely recognize the Tremor name. It indicates that a pickup comes with various off-road features to help improve capability and adventure ability. And now, that package is coming to the 2023 Maverick. 

So, what all does a Ford Maverick Tremor come with? If you opt for this package, your small truck will get a one-inch lift, a revised all-wheel drive system, and special suspension. The Maverick was already a compact pickup ready for adventure. But this package will really take things to the next level. Even though the Maverick is a unibody truck. 

How can you get a 2023 Maverick Tremor?

If you are interested in a small off-road truck, a Maverick with the Tremor package is ideal. In order to get it, you must purchase either an XLT or Lariat version of this pickup. And then, the Tremor off-road package adds a cost of $2,995. For what you get, that doesn’t seem like too bad of a deal. 

Now, the 2023 Ford Maverick is experiencing some delays. The 2022 model is extremely popular, and the Blue Oval was actually forced to put a pause on orders. Ford’s small truck was supposed to go on sale in August, but that did not happen. So, hopefully, it becomes available at some point soon. 

How does the Tremor package compare to the FX4 package?

The Tremor package might not be the best option for everyone, and that is where the FX4 Off-Road package comes in. The FX4 adds a better cooling system and other off-road features. But, it does not add things like a lift kit or new AWD system that the Maverick Tremor does. 

That said, much like the Tremor, you do have to purchase a Maverick XLT or Maverick Lariat pickup in order to get the FX4 Off-Road package. You will also need to equip your small truck with AWD and the turbocharged engine. 

When is the 2023 Maverick going into production?

According to Ford Authority, the 2023 Maverick is set to enter production at some point in November. Originally, production was supposed to start in October. These delays are a reflection of the current state of the automotive industry. Most manufacturers are having problems keeping up with demand. 

When the new Ford Maverick does go on sale, you should probably plan to act quickly. Who knows with this small truck with sell out again.
