On the performance front, the 2023 Ford Maverick offers two engine options. Its standard hybrid engine produces 191 horsepower and 155 lb-ft of torque, while its turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine produces 250 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque.

In comparison, the engines offered for the standard 2023 Ford F-150 include a 3.3-liter V-6 (290 hp/265 lb-ft), 2.7-liter twin-turbo V-6 (325 hp/400 lb-ft), 3.5-liter twin-turbo V-6 (400 hp/500 lb-ft), 5.0-liter V-8 (400 hp/410 lb-ft), and 3.5-liter twin-turbo V-6 hybrid (430 hp/570 lb-ft).
