The 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E starts at $42,995 MSRP and comes standard with a significant amount of standard features. The base model, called the Ford Mustang Mach-E Select, gets around 266 hp and achieves a 0 to 60 mph time of just 5.2 seconds with all-wheel drive. This Mustang has comfortable seating for five, a 10.2-inch digital gauge cluster, a 360-degree camera, and Phone As a Key technology.
Above the Select model is the Premium model, which starts at $46,995 MSRP. This model adds a panoramic glass roof, power liftgate, heated front seats, 19-inch wheels, and a choice of battery size. The California Route 1 model gains unique design aesthetics, standard all-wheel drive, and a standard long-range battery.
At the top of the lineup is the Ford Mustang Mach-E GT with an aggressive performance-inspired design, larger wheels, and more power.
The 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E fails to deliver with range
Despite how popular the Ford Mustang Mach-E has been so far, there is no denying that range is a big issue with this SUV. The standard battery for the Mach-E tops out at only 247 miles, according to Ford. This makes the Mustang Mach-E over 50 miles behind the new industry standard of 300 miles out of a standard range battery.
With a 300-mile range, electric vehicles are neck and neck with standard gas-powered vehicle ranges, but with only 247 miles at your disposal, the Mach-E starts to show some weak points.
The Ford Mustang Mach-E Premium may seem like the perfect solution with its available 310-mile range battery, but this comes at a very large price. This larger battery option adds $7,000 to the base Ford Mustang Mach-E price, bringing the total price of this Mach-E to over $56,000.
If you are going to spend that much money on an electric Mustang, you are better off looking at a different EV, or the California Route 1 Mach-E, which offers everything found in the long-range Premium model with some special edition design cues.
