2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E Prices Drop as Power Increases
We have good news for Ford Mustang Mach-E fans. It is following the trend of becoming a more affordable electric vehicle. It’s getting more competitive against the Telsa Model Y and Hyundai Inoniq 5. But that’s not all. The 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E also has more power.
How much does the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E cost?
The 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E MSRP starts at $42,995. This is for the standard range model with rear-wheel drive. It doesn’t include the $1,800 destination fee, which brings the price up to $44,795. The Mach-E Select, which is the entry-level trim, is now $3,000 cheaper.
On the other end of the spectrum, the Mach-E Premium model with RWD starts at $49,995, and the destination fee brings it up to $51,795. According to Car and Driver, it’s $4,000 cheaper. That’s a pretty enticing deal for near-luxury quality at under $60,000.
Also, the 2023 Mustang Mach-E is eligible for a partial tax credit. It may qualify for $3,740 in tax credits as of April 18. If you accepted delivery before April 18, it may be eligible for the full $7,500.
The Nite Pony package is still $800, and the GT Performance is down to $5,000. But BlueCruise increased by $200, and the delivery fee increased from $1,500 to $1,800.
The Tesla Model Y starts at $53,490, and the Performance Model is listed on the site at $56,990. It qualifies for the $7,500 EV tax credit, but the Mach-E is still more affordable.
How much range does the 2023 Mustang Mach-E have?
The 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E Select RWD model has an EPA-estimated range of 250 miles. This is up for 247 miles. The Selec model with AWD now gets an EPA-estimated range of 226 miles instead of 224.
With the extended-range model, you get up to 314 miles of range, which is up from 305 miles. The RWD model provides 266 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque. With AWD, you get 311 hp and 427 b-ft of torque. It packs the power of 45 extra ponies.
Opting for the extended-range model provides 346 hp and 478 lb-ft of torque. The Performance Edition cranks out 480 hp and 634 lb-ft of torque.
With the extended-range battery and AWD, the Mach-E can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 5.2 seconds. The Performance Edition gets there in 3.5 seconds.
The increase in range and power comes from better lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries. New 70.0-kWh packs replaced the old lithium-ion units. Extended-range models use the same 91.0-kWh lithium-ion packs.
How fast does the 2023 Mach-E charge?
With a DC fast charger, the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E can replenish its battery from 10 to 80% in about 33 minutes. This is about five minutes faster than before. About 59 miles can be added in 10 minutes.
A Level 2 charger can fully recharge the battery in about 11 hours. A 120-volt outlet or home charger adds about two miles of charge per hour. The average person drives about 35 miles per day, so the Mach-E doesn’t need to be charged every night.
Cheaper prices and slightly more power make the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E look pretty good against the Tesla Model Y. Stay tuned for the latest updates as the enhanced performance is put to the test.
