The 2023 Ford Ranger Dropped 1 Classic Commodity
If you want the new Ford Ranger, then you will receive a lot of new stuff, like a brand new interior, upgraded tech, and more. However, the 2023 Ford Ranger just dropped one classic item that you might miss.
The 2023 Ford Ranger dropped the user manual
While the 2023 Ford Ranger provides tons of new innovative features, it’s ditching a classic commodity. The Ranger is dropping the paper manual for a digitized version. The Ford F-150 did the same thing to save tons of paper.
The Ranger will still come with some printed materials, but the owner’s manual will be digital. Just last week, I was helping someone determine why the 4×4 is stuck on their Toyota Sequioa, and we couldn’t find anything helpful on Google. But we did find beneficial information in the hard copy of the user’s manual.
How to find information about the 2023 Ranger
You can still find information pretty easily in the 2023 Ford Ranger. According to Ford Authority, you can access the digital owner’s manual through the infotainment touchscreen. The Ford SYNC 4A software provides useful how-to videos and in-depth information about the truck’s features.
We wonder if you can access the menu when the truck is turned off. What happens if the battery dies? How many clicks will it take to get to particular menus? Can the older generation handle a massive touchscreen when they’re used to paper?
This shouldn’t be too much of a hassle. We’ve tested the latest technology in options like the Ford Maverick and Ford Mustang Mach-E. The software is fast and intuitive. Whenever we’ve needed to change the settings or figure something out, it’s been a quick and straightforward process.
Also, the digital owner’s manual is one of the new features confirmed for the international market version. We’re still waiting for the United State’s version to emerge. The international model also has an e-shifter instead of Ford’s rotary dial, a DIY-friendly bed, and a standard digital instrument cluster.
What else do we know about the 2023 Ranger?
The 2023 Ford Ranger will be manufactured in Thailand and South Africa in 2022, without a paper owner’s manual. Then it will enter production at the Ford Michigan Assembly plant in the spring of 2023. European customers can place their 2023 Ranger orders toward the end of 2022.
We could get the 2.3-liter turbocharged inline-four engine with 270 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque with the American version. This is the current Ranger’s engine, and it may receive a little more power. It will be paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission, but we hope a manual option will be available.
Hybrid and electric models might be on the way, but not yet. Electrification and hybrid options may be released with the hybrid Ford Bronco. It may receive a battery setup from the F-150 Lightning.
The 2023 Ford Ranger Raptor will debut on February 22nd and has a price of about $53,000. So, we should learn more about the American model soon. We’ll keep you updated as we learn more.
