Genesis recently released more information on the 2023 G90, its flagship sedan. What are the specs on the 2023 Genesis G90 sedan?

Genesis is playing it close to the vest when it comes to some of the specs for the 2023 G90. Nevertheless, we have a pretty good idea of what to expect.

First, Car and Driver reports that the new G90 will pack a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6. It will also feature an eight-speed automatic transmission. Given that the G80 offers 375 hp and 391 lb-ft of torque, there’s no reason to think the G90 will be any less powerful. In addition, the sedan will probably offer rear-wheel and all-wheel drive.

First, it’s the only Genesis model with an interior fragrance system to help maintain the car’s fresh scent. It also features ambient lighting and an impressive 23-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system, along with active noise cancellation.

While the car’s occupants are enjoying the sound system, they can also relax with the help of the G90’s front massaging and rear reclining seats. The right rear “VIP” seat also gets a power leg rest with heating and ventilation.

And while we’re talking about rides, we can’t forget to mention that the Genesis G90 strives to make the ride a smooth one. Hyundai’s luxury brand and its flagship sedan

Though a newer brand, Genesis is quickly making a name for itself as Hyundai’s luxury marque. 

The G90 initially hit the market in South Korea, where it was called the Genesis EQ900. It premiered at the North American International Auto Show in 2016. The car is still in its first generation, though it saw a facelift for the 2020 model year. 

Genesis views the G90 as its best competition for better-known luxury sedan alternatives such as the Audi A8, Lexus LS, BMW 7 Series, and Mercedes-Benz S-Class. What the G90 has going for it compared with many of these other cars is the price. The current model starts at just under $75,000, though C/D suspects the 2023 model will cost “significantly more.” Still, the G90 will be cheaper than others in its class.
