2023 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4X AEV Edition Specs

Under the hood, the GMC Sierra AT4X AEV comes standard with a 6.2L V8 engine making 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. This engine is paired with a transmission featuring multiple driving modes including a terrain mode, giving you precision one-pedal rock crawling ability. When you have work to do, this GMC model offers an impressive 8,700 lb towing capacity and 1,290 payload capacity, giving you all the practical capability found in a typical GMC Sierra.

Underneath the truck, the GMC AT4X AEV offers both front and rear e-locking differentials, the only truck to do so in its class. These e-locking differentials are designed to send torque to specific wheels whenever they lose traction, giving you the most efficient off-road-capable experience possible. This truck also offers Multimatic DSSV shocks and dampers with 50mm of suspension travel in the front and 25mm of travel in the rear, giving you a premium ride both on and off-road.

The interior of this off-roading truck is also premium, with an athletic-inspired trim and full-grain leather seats. Add in small pieces of flair like the stainless steel speakers, and this is a truck that looks just as capable inside as it is on the outside.

AEV Edition Exclusives

While many of the previously listed features are available on the GMC Sierra AT4X, there are a few key differences that add to the capability of the AEV edition. For starters, five extra-strong hot-stamped boron steel skid plates line the bottom of the AEV edition. The truck’s front approach angle was also increased by 27% over the typical AT4X, with other small increases in departure angle, breakover angle, and ground clearance.

The AEV edition also includes a factory front winch-capable bumper, a first in its class, and is covered in aggressive AEV branding to ensure every driver knows that you have one of the most capable off-road trucks ever to carry a GMC logo.

When will the 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4X AEV Edition be released?

According to GMC, this variant of the 2023 Sierra will be available in early 2023. With this model being a specialty performance model of the GMC Sierra, this package will most likely not be available on many dealer lots as typical dealer stock and will primarily be sold as a special-order truck.
