Honda SUVs are among the most popular models in America. A few of those models have also won many awards, a testament to their quality. Here’s an overview of all 2023 Honda SUVs.

Honda HR-V

According to Honda, the HR-V is the smallest and cheapest crossover option in the lineup. It is in the subcompact crossover segment and has a starting MSRP of about $23,500. The most notable thing about the 2023 HR-V is that it got a hot makeover. Currently, the HR-V has only one engine option: a 2.0-liter four-cylinder making 158 hp.

Because the HR-V has a lot in common with the Honda Civic, the HR-V’s engine is unsurprisingly the same as the one offered in the compact car. Since it was just redesigned, the HR-V has a different exterior look, and its interior design was also improved. Like many other Honda SUVs, the HR-V also offers a lot of tech features as standard, including adaptive cruise control.

Honda CR-V

The CR-V is one of the best options in the segment. This compact crossover starts at about $31,000, providing owners with a lot of value for the price. Like the HR-V, the CR-V also boasts a redesign for the 2023 model year, and it’s received many upgrades.

Honda gave the CR-V two powertrain options. The first is a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that gets 190 hp. The second is a hybrid powertrain that combines a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with two electric motors to generate 204 hp. No matter which option you choose, both powertrains are fuel-efficient. 

The standard CR-V gets about 31 mpg combined, while the CR-V Hybrid gets about 38 mpg combined. The CR-V Hybrid will cost a little extra, starting at about $32,000 MSRP. Overall, both CR-V options are solid, safe, and very practical. 

Honda Pilot

The Pilot sits in the midsize crossover segment, and the 2022 model starts at about $38,000. The Pilot has one engine option: a 3.5-liter V6 that gets 280 hp. The Pilot is a reasonably large crossover, with three rows of seats as standard. This allows it to seat up to eight people, and the seats themselves are very comfortable as well.

That said, like the HR-V and the CR-V, Honda is redesigning the Pilot for the 2023 model year. However, few details are known about the next generation of the Pilot as of this writing.

Honda Passport

Like the Pilot, the Honda Passport is also in the midsize crossover segment. It’s slightly more expensive than the Pilot, as the Passport starts at about $38,400. Unlike other Honda SUVs, the Passport is not getting a redesign for the 2023 model year, so overall, it will not be too different from the 2022 version.

In terms of its engine, Honda gave the Passport the same 3.5-liter V6 as the Pilot. However, the main difference between the Passport and Pilot is their seating configurations. The Passport comes in only a two-row configuration, so the Pilot has an advantage in terms of how many passengers it can hold. However, the two-row configuration makes the Passport a more nimble crossover.
